We were with Advanced Disposal for over a year, and we just switched to a new service. I will never go back to Advanced, I don't care what I have to pay. This might be the worst customer service I have ever experienced, not just from a trash company, but from any service I have used. Here are some of the reasons I say that: - Over the past year, they missed our trash and recycling pick-up at least 6 times - every time we would call to inform/complain (and wait on hold for a long time), and they would give the same worthless answer, say they will address it, but it is never addressed - some times they came within 1 - 2 days to pick up, some times they never came and we had to wait until the next week; they would never offer any form of compensation for the missed service - When I would ask to speak to a supervisor about the horrible service we were receiving, they would never connect me to one; they would also claim that the pick-up services were a 'different department' which is why I couldn't speak to them - They switched from every week to every-other-week recycling pick-up with almost no notice......keep in mind they didn't reduce the price, just cut the pick-ups in half, so we routinely had the bin overflowing with too much material - we called about this, and they said they would come out and swap out our recycling bin for a larger one - not only was it frustrating that we would have to call to request this, but they never actually brought out a new larger recycling bin (over 2 months of waiting and calling) - Because they wouldn't swap out the recycle bin as promised, we would end up with extra materials I had to put on top of the bin or in a clear bag next to the bin because it wouldn't fit - and then they left us a nasty-gram saying they could only pick up what is in the bin - They would never treat our property with any respect - would drive over markers we had along the edge, would throw our trash can around (the lid came off several times), there would be trash items that must have fallen out when they were picking up the cans but rather than pick it up they would leave it on the ground in our yard If you have your service with Advanced, leave them. If you're looking for service, pick anyone but Advanced. They clearly do not care or take any pride in doing a good job, and customer service seems like something they don't know about or just don't care about.

Called early May to start summer service (on hold for the winter) and was given the quarterly pricing of $ 72.00. I then started to receive past due calls for non payment in late May. I had not received a bill in the mail. So called the 877 # and it says "due to unusually long wait times please leave your # and we will return your call". They do return, sometimes, several days later. If you miss the callback and have to call them back you start with the long waits and leaving your # again. I eventually spoke with a rep from the co and asked for an explanation for the past due calls. The bill was for $399.18. rec hard copy in mid June. Called back and was told I owed for 2 back quarters, when I had proof that I had put account on hold and was charged for picking up a BBQ grill for $ 150.00 I never requested a BBQ grill pick up, never put one out for pick up. Finally got bill corrected and then they missed a pick up week, in June, so called to end service completely. Requested an adjusted bill, after several calls and long waits. Finally received an accurate bill, paid it through the mail, and they charged my CC twice. Now I am trying to reconcile that issue. Co reps laughed when I asked how I was charged for time I never had service and for the mysterious BBQ grill, was told " we hire new people all of the time and they make mistakes."
