The end result looks great, but the process took over 5 months from deposit check to finish (longer if you count the initial communications and proposal). A2 Tile repeatedly delayed our work, and often showed up late or not at all for scheduled visits. It was a very frustrating experience, despite the good result at the end. We wouldn't recommend A2 Tile for small jobs.

They looked at the job and suggested several options for where cuts should be made in the 6"x24" tiles. They installed two grout samples and did a neat job with minimum mess. They installed backer board where needed. The job looks great! We provided the tile they provided installation materials and labor.

When Adam come to the house to provide an estimate, he provided a lot of suggestions, possible problems, and options -- much more than any other contractor I contacted.  I chose A2 Tile because Adam really knew what he was talking about, and because he was highly recommended by The Tile Shop.  I did all the demolition except for removing the tub.  Adam and Ken did most of the work, and Ken laid all the tile.  He did a beautiful job, and didn't mind at all that I wanted to watch.  Due to some other jobs Adam's crews were working on, timing was occasionally a problem, but we worked it out.  My design for the tub-area walls included a rectangular inset of onyx tile, with ceramic field tile.  Ken was very careful in his measurements and tile cutting to install the onyx inset at the height and width I wanted.  The non-water tub wall behind the cement board was about 18" deep, and Adam was very eager to install a niche there.  Originally a niche wasn't on my wish list or even my final list, but Adam's enthusiasm swayed me, so they installed it using a pine "box" sized to be two field tiles high and two field tiles wide.  The finished niche looks great, and of course, now I love it.
A2 Tile pros:
  -  professional workers
  -  finished tile and grout are beautiful -- even, smooth, and aligned
  -  I was able to make all the decisions, even during installation
  -  Good advice regarding what kind of tub to buy, what issues to think about, etc.
A2 Tile less-than-pros:
  -  The price was higher than the other three contractors I asked to bid on the job
  -  The start date and some other installation dates kept changing, but usually by only a few days
I would definitely recommend A2 Tile, and would use them again for another project.

Adam, Mike and Ken were very pleasant to work with.  Adam was responsive to my request for estimate, provided the estimate to me in writing within a few days and was able to complete the tile work I requested in the timeframe I was looking for.  His estimate was spot on and there were no hidden surprises.  The work was done timely, efficiently and at the end of the day everything was cleaned up as if no one had been doing work in my house.  They listened and performed the job to my satisfaction.  I will be contacting them again for future home improvement  projects and would recommend them to others looking for this type of work.  They also are very pet friendly.  It was a very positive experience.

Adam and crew did a great job! The transformation of the kitchen is exactly what we wanted. They took their time to make sure it was done right with attention to detail. Adam went above and beyond when he fixed a few grout issues with our floor...even mixed a custom batch of grout to match the grout in the floor. Thanks Adam!

Adam did a beautiful job replacing our bathroom tile while maintaing the traditional look of our older home.  He oversaw reglazing of our bathroom tub and replacement of bathroom fixtures.  It was not easy work as the previous owners took a lot of short cuts when they remodeled 30 years ago, but Adam managed to keep within budget and on schedule.
