San Juan Pools Of Michigan

I wanted to respond to the individual who complained about the and quot;swampyand quot; pool this year. We had the same issue the year after we purchased a safety net. While this cover provides safety and helps maintain water levers over the winter, because it is permeable, it also allows sunlight to penetrate the water in the spring. Chlorine levels have usually vanished over the winter, and the algae blooms with the sunlight. We began adding a bottle or two of liquid Chlorine as soon as the water thawed, and again every week or two until the pool was opened. This helped immensely, but the water still wasn't as clear as it used to be at opening. So last winter we used both covers. The safety cover AND the dark cover, and the water needed very little cleaning. Even when it was swampy, it cleared with care. Lots of Chlorine, algaecide and correcting the pH, as well as cleaning the filter often, and the pool was clear in no time. I have also found that leaves AND occasional toads somehow slip under either and both covers. I know the pool was clean when closed, because I did it. Yet, there they were in the spring!

My pool has been a green swampy mess for over a week. There were tons of leaves left in the pool when they closed in the fall and they were not cleaned up when they opened in the spring. When I spoke to Pam on the phone, she blamed it on us as the home owners. No remorse, no offer to make things right. This did not surprise me as in all of the years that we having giving our money to them, she has never been any thing but rude. I guess $250 buys you about 45 minutes of the crews time. They have no sense of pride in doing a quality job, and we will never use them again. I called another company and will be paying them to come fix the mess that San Juan left.

Out of all the companies that we looked at this company was by far the best. Gary is a great salesperson and he puts zero pressure on you to buy. I guess in hindsight that should have clued me in. He is very difficult to get a hold of. You call the office and either get his wife, or leave a message with her that she might forward onto him. I found the best method of contact was email. My problems may be more with his responsiveness than anything. The people that he has working for him are awesome. They will answer your questions, or do their best to find out the answers. They are punctual and will keep you apprised of what is going on. Gary, the owner, will be there to supervise the big steps (and to collect his money), but make sure you get your questions answered then, otherwise, it might be difficult to get in touch with him. The concrete company that they use is fantastic and I would recommend the company to everybody. I really enjoyed the crew and they were very nice and cleaned up after themselves, not to mention, did stellar work. The fence guy is great as well. The process itself is draining because your yard will look horrible and you just want them to get going to get everything done so you can repair the damage. The equipment is great as is the product and install. I probably rated lower because of the responsiveness of Gary.

They did good work but the communication still needs a little work. They're nice but I guess the communication wasn't very great. They took longer than what they said they were going to take. They're pretty competitive in terms of price. I will use their services again in the future.
