Use another company for your concrete overlay! Quality is terrible both material and workmanship. You get what you pay for. Several issues came up while they were putting down the sealant and I realized there were many quality issues. Here are just a few....
Bug and dirt specks stuck in sealant, darker color stain dripped onto the lighter color stain and left there instead of wiped off before sealant put down, grout splattered in several spots which sealant didn't adhere to and now those spots have chipped off, one of the grout lines has actually chipped in spots already!!, spots of his rag stuck in the sealant where he tried to "fix" some of the grout spots by trying to put more stain over them, he also stepped on the still wet sealant and got his sock stuck in it (but that was my fault because he only did it because I was upset about the dirt specks in the sealant), one spot near the front door you can actually see that somebody stepped on it or it wasn't trowled in that spot, the list goes on...
I know have to get this entire overlay ground off and redone.
He also dripped some of the dark brown stain on my almond color aluminum trim when he was trying to fix the grout spots mentioned earlier. The stain will not come off.
He had me write the final check before the job was completely finished and that was my big mistake. I would never have given him the final payment once I saw what the final product looked like.
When I complained to him about these various issues at the time, he was very rude to me outside (my neighbor actually asked me about it the next day) and said he was not coming back and wasting $50 in gas one way to fix these spots (he later denied that he said this). After I called him back the next day, he did say he would come back and try to fix these spots. I tried to work with him but there were just too many issues and his idea of fixing the spots was not going to be to my satisfaction since he basically just was trying to cover them with stain.
Also, the colors of the stain look terrible and I asked him if he could at least paint over them with a better color but he was just going to get paint from the local paint store and paint over it. This was not going to be acceptable.
His workers were smoking on the job, left cigarette butts on the road by my front lawn, one of them literally smoked a cigarette over the porch while he was working on it and ashes dropped onto it! They also completely missed filling in two grout lines which I had to point out were not done.
I can provide photos of every issue I am referring to.
