During our initial review of the projected it was noted and discussed with the client that the cabinet doors are comprised of two different species of wood. We took numerous pictures before the project began to highlight the different wood types and how the door and drawer fronts had what appeared to be 3 varying shades of stain on them We discussed the different wood types and how stain would react to each wood type. Some portions of a door might appear darker and some portions may appear lighter. We were given permission, via a signed contract, to procced with the project. We provided the client with samples from the pieces of the kitchen for the client to visualize what the a front and stain colors would look like once completed. When the project was completed the client made a request that roughly 7/8 fronts (a few doors and few drawers) be re sanded and stained again to have those items darker in tone. We complied with the request, at no additional charge to the client and informed the client once again of the numerous wood types. We can provide before pictures to show the numerous color tones of stains. We can provide during pictures of the project showing that every piece that was in our shop was sanded to bare wood along with the in home portion being sanded to bare wood. We can provide after pictures to show the uniformity in the stain of each and every piece, except for the items the client asked us to stain further to make "darker." We take the upmost pride in our craftsmanship and never skip or skimp on any step of the process. All items were prepped as they should be for a re-stain refinish project, including a full sanding down to bare wood. - Steven Kubik"
