SEARS

The expected delivery date was April 1. When it didn't arrive, I contacted Sears. They could not tell me anything about when it would ship. It finally was shipped and was expected to arrive April 13. I cancelled the order because I couldn't wait that long.

I was looking on line for a 20" box fan and noticed that Lowes, Wallmart and Home Depot were selling recalled Lasko Box fan models. I noticed on the Sears web sight that the only Lasko fan they carried was the higher quality Lasko fan that was not a recall. I also noticed that Sears has a recall notification page on their site. I have always had excellent results with Kenmore appliances and I would have never thought that Sears would have a Kenmore box fan. I called our local Sears store to see if they had any on stock. The web site showed they were on sale. Delighted by the auto phone system. It was like I was talking to a real person. When I was transferred to the pick up department, I spoke with an associate who was eager to help in anyway they could. Instead of leaving me on hold he took down my name and number and called me right back after checking if they had any more available. They had three left and he set one aside for me to pick up at my convenience. I discovered today that Sears is not only price competitive but also is commited to quality service and product way beyond the competition of Lowes, Walmart, and Home Depot.

ARRIVED ON TIME, HAD PARTS ON HAND AND REPAIRED QUICKLY. SERVICE CONDUCTED IN A PROFESSIONAL MATTER.

No services were performed, but I called Sears about a problem I was having with my dryer. The first call was transferred and dropped, and the second call was answered by someone whose speech I had trouble understanding. The representative explained they would be charging $75 to diagnose the problem, and separate labor charges to fix the dryer would be $75 an hour, not including parts. I scheduled a service call, but changed my mind and called back to cancel it. The next day a serviceman called to say he was coming over; no one had notified him I had cancelled the visit.

They were prompt and didn't take much time to tell us what was wrong with it but it took a week to get the part. I would use them again.

Overall, everything was very good. The customer service was good and I would consider using them again.
