Hawkins Pool Service

We have used this company several times and have been pleased overall. They are consistently responsive on the phone, pleasant, and punctual in keeping appointments, and the prices are within the expected range. We have noticed a decline in service, however. The workers left a murky, dirty pool, and they were not going to put D.E. in the filter until asked. When asked about sanitizers, one replied "You can go ahead and put some in". Finally, it is a minor point, but it was unpleasant to find cigarette butts around the pool that we had to clean up.

Overall, the job went very well. The service was professional and timely. The only criticism is that the filter was not removed and cleaned. We called the office, and the person answering assured us that the filter had been removed and cleaned, but it had not. We removed and cleaned it ourselves. Otherwise, the job was very well done.

I have had him for twenty years. He is an excellent worker and always is honest and gives us good advice on how to keep our 50 year old pool going. Now, it's like a brand new pool! The thirty dollars is what he charges to open and close the pool.

I did not want to get this done, but, I really had no choice. Hawkins did excellent and they worked out great. I think they were trying to be competitive. I called seven people and they were the best. They were thorough and very clear about what they were going to do. Some of the others were not as specific as them. They had a great proposal and they showed up right away. I actually learned more about my pool just by talking to him than I have over the years from going to pool stores.
