They got everything done in a day, cleaned up and it looked great!

I have had Tom come back for 3 or 4 years now. My jobs haven't bee large (small trees and bushes, mulch, moving drains to the middle of the yard and most recently brick pavers in the yard, but Tom has been great to work with and the prices have been reasonable. He's moved now to the Bushel Stop on Newburgh Road, but I'll continue to give him my business. The only drawback is that he's super busy in the spring, so it can take awhile to get on his 'to do' list.

We had several estimates. Artman's was the most reasonable. They did a great job. We have had several compliments. Would hire again without hesitation.

Our experience with them was fine and we were pretty satisfied. The only problem with them was that it took a while to get them out here but they did a good job once they were here.

They explained everything about different plants. They also did a survey of landscaping for us.

They were fast, and they did a good job.

Price was too high. Found other companies for significantly less.

I would highly recommend them. I has asked for an estimate to remove my current landscaping from the front of my house and install new shrubs plants etc... I had asked for their suggestions. The person came on time, drew up a rough sketch and then I was told that the drawing would be ready in a week - I did have to call in to find out the estimate they did not call me. However, everyone was VERY friendly and even though I did not use their labor, I did purchase the items that I wanted and got a lot of advise on the type of landscaping I wanted.

The experience overall was very good. I would definitely use Artman's again. Tom the saleman, very knowledgeable and very good suggestions. The workers worked very hard, were polite and were accomodating to requests that we had.

The removal of the old grass:

A sod cutter was used. This was something we wondered about, would they be taking out old top soil and us be buying it back? This was clearly not the case. They preserved as much of the existing topsoil as they could.

The downspouts:

We had the downspouts burried into the lawn so we did not have the water going over the pavers and creating a slipping hazard in the winter and also to prevent the woodchips from moving.

The pavers:

They removed the sidewalk from the driveway to the front porch. Once removed, they installed the pavers. The pavers are beautiful. The pavers' edge is secured by cement which we are pleased with. No need to worry about the edging popping up from frost.

Carlos did an excellent job . We have had many compliments and noticed a lot of people stopping and looking at them.

The sprinkler system:

They installed a sprinkler system and took into account the placement of the flowers and shrubs. (Originally was going back and forth on having it installed, but am so glad we did.)

The topsoil:

Two reasons for the extra topsoil. 1) the grade of the yard needed to be fixed 2) wanted to be sure the sod had something to grow into and not into the and quot;Canton clayand quot;.

They did a beautiful job on the pitch of the yard. Made a world of difference.

The sod:

The sod is a top quality. A Kentucky Blue Grass with a very thick backing of topsoil.

Completion:

It took approximately 1 week from the time we put down a deposit to start the work and another 1 week for the work to be completed. Total time approximately 2 weeks.

From day one it was an overall good experience. I consider my husband and I to be very picky. There are no complaints what so ever. It was helpful that one of us were home while they were working so they could address any questions right away. You could tell they took pride in their work.

My only regret was not taking a picture of before. This is my first time posting on Angie's list. If this will allow me to add a picture later I will do so.

THEY DID A GREAT JOB !!!!

They gave us a highly competitive price, came out in a timely manner, easily removed the dead greens, and quickly planted and anchored (at our request) the new ones. The work crew was very friendly and approachable. They were punctual and thorough.

The crew was quick and courteous (as were the people I dealt with at the nursery and in the office); when they were done, the mulching looked great--but even better, the place was left spotless. Not a bit of mulch anywhere it wasn't supposed to be. I would happily work with them again and give my highest recommendation. (A few years ago when they did the initial landscaping, they went above and beyond what I expected, even removing some huge thistle plants that were growing on the side of the house, even though I never mentioned them.)
