PLEASE READ THIS. I hired this company as they had great reviews & the owner came out to my home as we walked through & had an understanding of everything, from keeping the colors the same except for 2 rooms to him cutting a hole in wall to have colors matched & doing 2 coats paint. I took the slot he had available to begin December 20th & job ending in under 2 weeks according to owner. They started Monday, set everything up & began on top level. Tuesday they began painting & a few hours in I came upstairs & more thank half was painted with the WRONG COLOR extending this color into rooms it did not belong. I stopped them & explained again this is not what we had agreed on regarding color. He had huge buckets of this one color when each room has its own light colors in succession of one another. The owner became extremely nervous, shaking & pulled me into a bedroom explaining he’s going through a divorce telling me extremely personal details about his wife & kids I didn’t need to hear & blaming his lack of focus & color mishap on this telling me he will fix this. AGAIN, for the 3rd or 4th time him & I walked around & I made sure he took the switch plates off the walls & labeled them to get colors right. He incessantly complained when he was even here about how expensive paint is. I would remind him of things he told me during our initial consultation but this guy ALWAYS had an excuse or said that’s not what he said when I took extensive notes. They continued on Tuesday & Wednesday, Thursday & Friday I noticed they were going quickly at this time & down to only 2 guys from 4. The guys told me the others were too hungover to work. During these few days I bought the guys pizza, cupcakes, subs set up coffee/water to be polite & keep them fueled & worked right along with them moving furniture back etc to help however I could being they were down 2 guys & owner was barley here. Within the next couple days, I was approached by owner to tell ask me if he could use that paint he bought in huge buckets to paint a bedroom. I agreed for this as he was making me feel some way going on & on how expensive it was. Next thing I know he used this paint in my home office & another bedroom downstairs. Not too mention the paint he used in my main hallway/kitchen, he used this in my laundry which was a different color. ALL THIS AFTER getting the switch plates together to get the paint correct. I knew at this point this guy was not right or honest. He kept telling me he could not see the difference in colors & no one will even notice. The colors are lighter, but noticeable. NOT that it’s HIS CONCERN to begin with. He was dominating & pushy. Come Friday, Christmas Eve they came in & were rushed again as I told the owner of a bathroom that was not painted the color I chose & he just said ok. Midway through Friday the owner called me downstairs to the other little kitchen to tell me there’s been another color mishap as the guys had just about finished painting it all & asked if they could keep it like this ...again, saying “who can tell colors & his guy said he cannot understand how people get worked up over colors” trying to make me feel bad. I only agreed to let them finish with the WRONG COLOR AGAIN because at this point, I knew he was a scammer & I was already thinking of hiring someone else to fix this as they rushed to finish Friday afternoon they claimed they were “wrapping up” as in done COMPLETELY with my home. I was shocked they were done. They had been in every room except garage due to cold, He never walked through & only said to contact him as I will find little things here & there & he will fix. I made an appointment to fix things after he left & we scheduled January 3 but I had to cancel. Right after he left, I came down with a bad case pneumonia/flu & was down very sick for 3-4 weeks & my house sitter said “check out paint when you get home.” Feeling better, I walked around the home & started putting thing away & was ABSOLUTELY ASTOUNDED at what they left. At least 13-14 ceilings left in a literally striped & very noticeable. All ceilings not striped were just left not even painted. 6 rooms painted in the color he bought too much of that wasn’t even matched to the original color. Most trim painted throughout the house shoddily, unpatched some just left unpainted. 85% walls not prepped, patched. HUNDREDS of areas half painted or one coat where you can clearly see color below. I have almost 200 photos posted on another review & have more rooms to post. I will post all photos here in the next day or so. I’ve had a few estimates & one company said this is the worst they ever seen. He charged me 10k for this job & half way through I wrote him a check for 5k as he was alluding a couple times to give him cash. I wrote the check. The day they left, & day before he approached me about giving him the rest in cash. 5 thousand was the balance saying he cannot cash check being Christmas/ holidays, his kids etc. Something I would never usually do but this guy worked me the whole time me being a woman alone. I went to bank Christmas Eve to get him 5 thousand cash! This guy was smooth. He pulled many dirty tricks one being he replaced most of my light switch plates telling me he’s doing me a favor... what he was doing is taking off the OLD PAINTED PLATES so I could see he didn’t match the colors as we had agreed so many times. I look back now & he swindled me. I have not done a painting job like this ever so I did not know what to expect except what he told me. I firmly believe he seen my kindness & worked with them to helped & took it as weakness. He’s a criminal in my eyes! He knew & HIS LAST 2 guys this was not completed properly but no one said anything. I believe they all work together to scam others. PLEASE tell all your family & friends about this company as I will be posting the close to 200 photos for you to see this nightmare for yourself. Imagine. To do atrocious work at 2 THOUSAND a day for 5 days! He should have been in my home for 2 weeks! I’m just furious Thank you for reading Again, I’ll be posting photos & updates to this review. Romeo and his guys did a great job. The entire experience was first rate start to finish. Would hire again, no hesitation.

I can't tell you how much I loved working with Romeo and his team. They are incredible. I had planned on putting my home on the market and everything needed to be painted..exterior, interior, basement, garage, cabinets...you name it. Romeo and the team brought my dingy house back to life. The paint job was soooo good and when I added tiny additions to scope of work he didn't nickle and dime me. My neighbors saw what a spectacular job his team did on my house and booked him on the spot to do their porch. They made the entire experience a pleasure! Thank you, Romeo!

Romeo got in touch with me within 2 days of my request He came out promptly to quote me a price. The work was started and completed today, June 29th, 2020. This company with it's crew went above and beyond! I will definitely hire this company again. The work was exceptional and they cleaned up very nicely. It shows that they take great pride in their work. Thank you Angie's list for taking the stress off this project and for your service in connecting me with professionals.

You should never pick a contractor only because they are nice people. However, if you want one that is nice, talented, hard working and provides a reasonable price...Roman is who you can hire. Our house was neglected by the previous owners and needed repairs and fresh paint. He and his team repaired the many areas needed and painted the entire house with the detail that is rare these days. I will definitely hire Affordable Painting and Repairs in the future for all our painting needs..and you should consider them also.

Extraordinary work by this group of gentlemen! Nico, Alex and Roman are amongst the most professional and hardest working people I have ever met. These guys will make sure you are satisfied til the end! They worked their magic renovating our new bathroom which was previously abandoned by another contractor. We were fortunate to have found these guys. Thank you Affordable Painting & Repairs !

Excellent! Very trustworthy and respectful of our home which is important to our family. Roman's is very dedicated to his trade and committed to every detail of the project and does not stop until everything is perfect. He painted our laundry room during the 36 degrees below zero this Feb 2019 and the internal painting crackled and without hesitation he returned the very next day and repainted our entire laundry room at no additional charge. We care about the matinence of our home and take pride in it's appearance and we were so pleased to have found such a reliable painter that has the same standards for quality work in any given project.
