Mattson Floor

Mattson's refinished our floors approximately 3 years ago and we are still loving our wood floors. We tried to do it ourselves and discovered how hard this was really was. They came in and fixed all of our work and made it look like new. It was not an easy job with hallways, bathroom, and kitchen but their team came in and did a great job. We had another contractor that would not do the job due to all the corners and smaller areas. They custom colored the stain to give us what we wanted. We have recommended Matton's to coworkers and friends and they also had a great experience. We recently had a small water issue and Justin came over the same day I called and looked at it and gave us a couple of options. I would highly recommend Mattson's for any flooring or refinishing work.

It went very well. Men were professional and timely. They were caring about keeping the dust down and keeping the mess to a minimum. Be prepared and patient for the floor to dry! It's worth the wait.

Were here on time and did a great job.  Had to explain what appeared to be defects in some boards were actually part of the hand scraped look of the Mohawk pre-finished flooring.

They did a number of apartments for me. They were knowledgeable and people can't go wrong with them. I think they're reasonable.

They're great and probably the best.  They did a really good job and the schedule was very good.  I like their customer service, their knowledge and I've been using them for 25 years.  They're way much better than any other work done.

We wouldn't go with anyone but Reg -- we've used him for three different floors.  He installs unfinished flooring, then sands it, and finishes it to specification (including matching any color).  The result is a gorgeous, durable floor without seams that trap the dirt.  He is used by the best builders in the area so he is always busy.

They did outstanding work. He brought all the wood to my house, so that I could look at it. He had beautiful hardwood flooring options. They have excellent prices. There was a board that had a small water mark on it that I thought they should not of used, but I was overall pleased with the work. I wish that worker was a little more conscientious, but they did offer to remove the board, but I didn’t want to. I figure it would cause more of a problem, and I didn’t want to go through all that. It’s not that noticeable only I can see the water mark. A worker did break a tile in my bathroom, but he cut and fixed it immediately, so I was pleased that they fixed it. They did a good job with the transitions from wood to carpet.

The project had its positives and negatives. When he completed the floors in the main living area, they looked great; really exceeding my expectations. However, he has issues that most contractors do. IE: keeping appointment times and portions of the job being left unaddressed. I felt he was very reluctant to do any hand sanding; therefore he wouldn?t do it. This made me feel like the job was left incomplete. He failed to even pull out the appliances or toilet to sand those areas. He did provide me the materials for follow up care for my floors, which I appreciated. But I felt like he was just willing to complete the basic mechanical portion of the project, but failed with the details. I received several quotes and decided to give Justin a shot this time, but would likely choose another company going forward.
