It went well. The plumbers were professional and prompt.

We called Universal Plumbing & Sewer for a drain that seemed to be slow and needed cleaning. They were able to set a same day appointment. Paul arrived at our home on time (actually a bit early, which I appreciate) and sent a text beforehand letting us know he was on his way. He was very polite, friendly, and professional and quickly took care of our drain issue. My only complaint with this company is that they have a $99 coupon listed on Angie's list for a Drain Cleaning with no hidden fees, but when Paul called in to the office (before starting the job), they would not honor the coupon. It was not an old coupon that I was trying to use, it's a coupon that is currently on Angie's List as I write this review. They did offer me the $30 off coupon that is also listed, but the $99 coupon would have been a better deal and I feel that they should have honored it. I appreciate that Paul called the office first so I knew what the cost was going to be before he did the work. I would still recommend this company despite this small issue with the coupon, I would just suggest verifying their coupons if you are planning on using one.

The contractor showed up on time with the materials needed to do the job. He up-sold one part that made a lot of sense to us given the placement of the sump in relation to the wall and problems we've had in the past (this is probably our 8th pump in 20 years, but the first professional installation). He went above & beyond expectation by showing us some key information about a water-powered backup we previously had installed by someone else. Workmanship is excellent. Professionalism is excellent. Price is absolutely reasonable. Would definitely use again.

Universal plumbing kept me informed via text as to the time of arrival for 2 plumbers. Mark M and his coworker expertly addressed our plumbing issues, resolving each problem to our complete satisfaction. (Our home was built in 1951 and was in need of updating -- replacement faucets, snaking out lines, and replacing old pipes with PVC.) I appreciated Mark's update concerning problems and how to avoid issues in future, such as using BioClean, an organic drain treatment to eliminate bacterial waste in the lines. Cost may appear high (> $1000) but we had multiple issues and the plumbers spent most of day resolving the problems.

They were excellent! Very knowledgeable and explained the problem, solution and price very clearly. I originally made an appointment for Monday (this being Saturday) thinking it can wait until then, but soon I became worried about the sump pump failing, called them back to see if they could possibly come by today and they did within an hour or so. I am very appreciative that they were able to help me the same day I called! Awesome! I'll will be replacing my hot water tank in the near future and will definitely contact them again.

Mark was very prompt arriving at our home and very personable. Mark was very knowledgeable and explained to me in detail what will be needed to repair the leak along with the estimated cost. I am extremely satisfied with the repair and I would highly recommend Universal Plumping and Sewer Inc.

Great job they were very polite and clean they rearranged there schedule for me because my daughter was in a serious car accident I will never call a different plumber again I want to thank them again

Worker was great. Knowledable, punctual, and clean. Cost of service was high and they tried to charge a drive fee of $40 which I got them to waive. I only had them snake the main line for grease and it was $165.

My husband and I purchased a garbage disposal from Menards on 9/27/18 and installed it on 9/30/18. It was working properly, but we left an extra ring on the top of the sink which caused water to build up in the sink. I looked at many plumbers in the area, and was impressed with Universal Plumbings ratings. They came on 10/8/18 and reinstalled the same disposal. Within 1-1/2 hrs the disposal was grinding and making noise. I immediately called back and they sent worker out on 10/10. He diagnosed the problem within 2 minutes, stating that an extra metal backing was left in disposal and since I removed plastic part that attached to dishwasher, it was my error. I was not aware of that metal part, and if the workers who reinstalled assessed the machine, they should have checked that out. I was charged an additional diagnostic fee of $69, which was wrong. Don't they insure their work??

Very professional from the initial call through the repair. Explained everything in detail. Wore shoe protection and cleaned up before leaving.

The service operators diagnosed the problem and replaced the defective pump. They arrived on schedule and were very courteous. Highly recommend.

I called to get est. for a plugged drain. They tried to charge me way more than the retail price shown on Angies list ($145) . Then when I asked about the $99 coupon on Angies list, they said it was an old price and refused to honor it. They also mentioned an additional transportation charge or service fee. At that point I was no longer interested and didn't bother to talk about it.

All work was done perfectly. Also, they repaired a toilet that Cregger Plumbing repaired over a year ago. When a complaint was made Cregger Plumbing said the floor mount would have to be replaced or modified. If I could go back in time I would give Cregger Plumbing a very bad review.

Appointment was confirmed by both phone and email. Email profile of Mark was sent in advance so I knew who to expect. Mark explained every step of the drainline camera inspection and line cleaning. Spent additional time when issues were encountered. Suggested additional steps I could take instead of jumping right to the $1000 hydro jetting option. Clean up of the job site was great. Would use again

I had a small back up in the basement anytime we flushed, showered, or used the toilet. Scheduled Universal Plumbing & Sewer to come out the next day. They were able to come out earlier than expected, which was great. Mark M. was super friendly and knowledgeable. He cleared the clog out of the sewer line, and he gave me a quote and info on the pricier option (water jetting) that would clear out all the roots. $140 in total since I had a $50 coupon from their website and they waived the travel fee. Way cheaper than I was seeing online from other companies. I’ll use them again for any plumbing-related projects and maintenance — the water jetting is likely next.

Dealing with Universal Plumbing and Server was excellent. Everyone was friendly and professional. Service was prompt and quickly available. The team was very skilled and knowledgeable. They were very consciousness of cleanliness and got along great with my dogs. They explained everything at each step and let me watch everything they did with their superior camera system. Initially they snaked the drain as best could be done, but because of the extensive tree root intrusion it was clear that the High-Pressure Water Jetting option was required. This was amazing! Jonah and his team worked diligently and stubbornly until every clog was cleared and water was flowing freer that ever before with any other plumbing service. I am certain this will eliminate my frequent plunging and basement clean-ups and help to save me from extensive and costly repairs in the future. The team went above and beyond, and I am 1000% satisfied with their work.

Johah and Paul arrived in a timely fashion, televised and located my sewer line and explained fully what needed to be done. I would call Universal Plumbing for my plumbing needs in the future.

Yikes! I woke up to a cold show this morning. Universal Plumbing & Sewer had a new water heater installed by 1:30 today. I was shocked and amazed that Univarsal Plumbing and Sewer came out on the same day I called. WOW! KYLE and CHIP, the installers, were very professional and personable. They answered all my questions and concerns. I was especially impressed with Kyle and Chips attitude for excellence. I am also grateful for a warm shower tomorrow.

Excellent. Steve and his apprentice were very polite and honest. Job was done quickly. Replaced old caps for drain which was greatly appreciated.

They are great. We had a leaking hot water heater that was draining into our floor drain, which wasn’t draining—It was oozing sooty-looking water back onto the floor. (The hot water heater wasn’t a night-call emergency, but the possibility of a sewage back-up was!) Paul P. came on an emergency evening call. It only took 90 minutes for him to get out in a Tuesday night at 8! He cleared the clog, snaked the drain, and gave us tips for our other drains. A great experience overall! We’ll call Universal the next time we have a plumbing issue!!!

Service response was prompt and at appointed time. Work was completed efficiently and professionally by Jonah and Paul. Township requirements in working around wetlands delayed final steps of process, but Universal was very cooperative in working with township.

QUICK response, easy diagnosis, relatively easy repair FOR A PRO. I would have wasted three vacation days and 12 trips to hardware store. Will use these folks if I ever screw it up again
