Punctual, professional, courteous and friendly. This is the third time we have used them and have not looked any further. The electrician is always pleasant to deal with.

Scheduled appointment with staff - Service Tecnhnician arrived on time - determined problem - made repair - all very cordial and professional.

After deciding it was time to purchase a backup generator for our house which had lost power at least a couple of days twice a year for many years, I researched online and checked Angieslist to see who did this kind of work. Oak Electric was one of three I decided to call for an estimate. They responded efficiently and set up an appointment after making sure that I really wanted a generator because they are expensive. During the estimate Jeremy toured the house and I was asked many questions to determine the right size for my house and supplied all the info I needed. After talking to two other companies I chose Oak Electric. One other company was just as helpful and knowledgeable but gave a higher estimate. The third company which has been in business for many years and has a good reputation and is highly rated on Angieslist, acted as if they couldn't care less about doing the job. Oak Electric estimated a six week order time (as did the other company) and the generator arrived and was ready to install in six weeks. We set up an appointment and they were here on time. It took about five hours to install. They did stop for a bite of lunch. They cleaned up afterward and explained what I needed to do. They also had to give in to my pesty German shepherd and play toss the Kong with her in between hooking up the generator duties. Jeremy the salesman and manager came by later to inspect everything and did some adjusting also explained the upkeep on the generator. I decided to use the no-interest payment plan thru Generac and Jeremy helped me set up the application. There was a bit of a mixup because I had decided to have my propane dealer add the extra fuel pipe from my tank, but Jeremy talked with the installer and they worked out the final hookup. All the people I dealt with from this company were more than helpful, cheerful, efficient, friendly, and easy to contact. MIchelle the telephone contact, the installers, and Jeremy.

Had an estimate, but when I called several times for the work to start, I did not get a return call...after several attempts

This experience has to reign as the worst contractor experience we have ever had. Not only unprofessional but unethical in their billing. I called Oak Electric to hang a small chandelier my husband and I had bought in France this year and to move a light switch box over 3 inches to accomodate space for a new mirror in our hallway. The owner sent his 15 year old son and an incompetant electrician and the circus began. The electrician didn't know what to do. He called his supply house for a switch and said it was unavailable so he and the young boy wasted more time off to a trip to Home Depot. I called the office while they were gone and talked to the office gal and told her that things were not working. She then sent out the owner. I think the owner was going to leave as I overheard him on my front porch saying to the 1st electrician "call me before you ching the cash register". He said that about three times. The three of them ended up hanging the chandelier and moved the light switch box. They were there for 5 hours. He presented me with a bill for $1,337.50 which included time for the original electrician, his 15 year old son along for training and himself. All just for hanging a small chandelier and moving a light switch box. This job should of and could have been done by ONE MAN.It turns out, the chandelier did not even work after they left. I had to call another electrician out to fix the problem which he did on his own without his brother, son or grandmother. He criticized the way the work had been done by Oak Electric.What also was very upsetting is that they asked me to use my new Dyson vacuum cleaner to clean up the drywall mess from the drilling. The second electrician brought his own shop vac and got on his hands and kness with a wet paper towel when he was finished and left my floor clean and shiny. Oak Electric left my floor dusty and dirty after we had just washed it.We not only are left outraged but insulted as well for being over-charged for his son's training and another incompetent electrician. All three of them were charged for on the bill!The electrician who came out to get the chandelier operating was alone and billed us properly for his time. I warn you...don't get involved with Oak Electric unless you want to get ripped off.

They arrived about 15 minutes early and were very polite and courteous. They removed their shoes each time they entered the house and were a great bunch of workers. Thanks, Jeremy, Ryan, Justin, Nate, Jake, David and Brett. Great Job Guys.

I am very pleased with their services. The generator is a good size, but it is not loud like a typical generator sounds. This type only sounds as loud as an air conditioning unit. They even set up the exhaust that is part of the machine to where he goes away from the house. I would recommend their services to anyone.

I hired Oak based on generator work they've done for me in the past and there willingness to get out to do the job quickly. They were not as inexpensive as some of the other vendors, but I was glad to pay a bit more to get the work done on the date I wanted. They arrived on time, were clean and we'll dressed, and very friendly. They did the work professionally and cleaned up 100% including ensuring the walls and ceiling were clean of finger prints. They reviewed the functionality of the fans with me, and removed all boxes and packing materials. I am very happy with the work and will use them again!

Everything went great. The technician was outstanding. He was efficient and courteous. He got the work done in about a half hour. I was real impressed with him, his attitude and expertise.

installation was as scheduled and went smoothly

Their prices were way high. They charge $155 minimum for the first hour and then $95 for each additional hour. They do offer a 10% senior discount. I could not go forward with this project because I could not afford it.

They must be really busy, or understaffed.

Called Oak about solar and salesperson called me back that day. We met 2 days later and I had a quote within another day. We discussed options which included how the system worked, choices, sizing, incentives available, cost savings over time, etc. It ended up we needed to wait for good weather for the installation (could not do in the winter). Installation was very quick (2 days) and done totally right (system installation is solid, clean, professional - no trash or other sign of the entire operation). Permits were pulled and the installation was approved. Oak guided the process to get Edison to hook up the extra meter and get me signed up for Solar Currents (where you are paid for electricity made) as well as getting an Edison ~30% reimbursement. Also, financed it through the solar panel maker at 0% for 1 year which was very easy. Owner of Oak came out and inspected the job personally and left me directions on how to monitor the system on-line. Oak is absolutely a good company - professional, follows-up, available for discussion by phone or email, has an active owner who came to our house to fully check out the installation. I am completely satisified and recommend the company.

The work was terrific! He got it done in an hour and even glazed it in for me which he didn't have to do. The price was also very reasonable.

They were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They were very polite and professional. They arrived on time. They cleaned up after themselves. I couldn’t say enough about them. They were worth every penny. They are coming back to more jobs. They pointed out some issues in my house which other electricians failed to let me know.

They worked about 8 hours. Everything went smoothly and professionally.

The electrician did the easy stuff well, but did not remove both porch lights to see why they were not working. He spent well over an hour trying to locate a junction box, when taking down both lights would have revealed that the wires in one of the boxes had shorted out. I am very dissatisfied (I hired another firm with EXCELLENT results) and will never call Oak Electric again.

They are fabulous! I have a couple of portable wardrobes in my basement and it bumped the electric panel unknowingly. Half of the electricity wasn’t working in the house and they helped me with the problem over the phone.

Oak Electric Service Inc. did quality work, the lines are dependable. However, they left big holes in the wall and I needed to replaster the spots that they worked at. They came out and did the job in a timely fashion but I don't think I'll use them again.

It went very well from call to company to job completion.

The person was professional and understanding (I was very ill that day and could not hang around much). I was given a quote to install the boxes plus hang fixtures in 3 bedrooms. The cost was $895. It was a higher than another bid. We have not had any work done yet but we probably won't go with them only due to the cost.

They come when they say they will. The show up on time. If you give them a call and leave a message, they get back to you in a timely manner. They show up and do the work needed. They are a little pricey, but you get what you pay for. They get the appropriate permits and licenses to give you excellent service.

He was very polite, on time, neat, and did the job. He also gave suggestions for things we should consider in the future without being too pushy.

The estimator missed our first appointment without a call so I called him. He said he had me down for the next day. I figured that I could have gotten it wrong so we rescheduled for another date. He also missed this appointment with no call. When I called him he gave me the same story from before; that he had it down for the next day. Now I KNOW I didn't have it wrong this second time. I left work early twice to be stood up. The one redeeming thing was that the woman who answered at the office was very kind and understanding about the situation and sounded truly sorry this had happened.
