Carter's Plumbing

Plumber was great. Polite and knowledgeable. But pricing was incredibly over the top.

Do not use Carters Plumbing for hot water heater repairs. We called them on a weekend and they came out and replaced the incorrect part and charged us $450 for the repair. After misdiagnosing the part, the technician (Danny) asked us to order that part from the supplier, installed it, and it didn't repair the issue. They are refusing to refund the money for that part ($40 out of pocket). It took three days to reach a manager (Ashley and then Mike) to try and resolve the issue. They offered to provide us a credit towards a future repair but at this point we're leery of the quality of work that the technicians can provide, and the exorbitant costs associated with any future work. The technicians are not skilled in repairing all brands of hot water heaters, and this needs to be shared up front. In addition, the call center shares that they have a "warehouse full of parts" and our issue should be resolved in "no time". This is not the case, as evidenced by us having to source our own parts for the repair (currently on order). The technician spent the majority of the time in his truck on the phone with his supervisor rather than accurately diagnosing the problem we were having. Lastly - the invoice was inaccurate. The technician claimed he didn't have a comparable line item and instead charged us for a heating element repair (which did not occur and was not the issue) totaling $300 rather than the cost to replace the valve (which was in fact working fine). They failed to send the invoice until 24 hours later (and two phone calls on our part) and when we did receive it, we noticed that my husband's signature was on the invoice guaranteeing satisfaction of the repairs when we did not sign anything due to Danny's iPad being "broken" at the end of the appointment. Mike shared that it was the weekend and they didn't have their usual plumbers on call (just the weekend plumbers.) Do not use Carters Plumbing.

They were paid over $1,200 to replace a valve on a hot water heater, replace a part on a toilet, and hook up a laundry room sink faucet and drain. Plumber lied to my wife when she asked why the laundry room sink was not against the wall, saying 'your husband said he didn't want that'. No such conversation ever took place. Now Catrer's Plumbing wants an additional $2,300+ to move the sink six inches so it's against the wall. What a rip off and they lie!

The work was excellent, the plumber diagnosed the problem and there was another plumber that came his name was David and he repaired it and at a reasonable price. I will recommend him to everyone

We have a 30 year old House. Caters was brought in to address our wants and needs including old pipes and valves throughout the entire house, new toilets, new faucets, new sump pump and vacuum powerless back up, utility sinks and valves. Mater Plumber Michael Maczka, and an associate did all the work install tear out in 7 hours and the work was 5 star professional, clean, comprehensive and done right. Expensive? yes but you get what you pay for. when it comes to reliable, dependable expertise these guys were the best. things they found that they fixed while they were out here, bad #1 sump pump, they replaced t hat, reworked all the piping from the water supply to the sump, installed new valves at the main which was bad - no cost, as well as the sump and the utility valves in the laundry. Huge piece of mind I have now for many years to come. will definitely call them before anyone else because I know I am going to get professional quality work.

I called and 45 minutes later they were at my house and fixed the problem. They made sure that everything was working perfectly before they left

it went well but the guy wore his boot protectors outside and kept going outside and inside again while wearing them which defeats the purpose, was in a real hurry, I was asking for his professional opinion about something and he dismissed it and said he will talk to the landlord

We gave him 2 checks with the understand that he would return the unused money. He did not finish job or return the unused money.... we have called him several times to get the old water pump back and the unused money. He will not return our calls.

First visit was great. I paid the amount charged. Charges were very reasonable. The follow up visit to perform additional work wasn't successful. The work couldn't be completed after the technician took time to attempt. I was charged $125 with no resolution on the 2nd visit. I don't have a problem paying for the time to come out,.however was not happy paying the amount I paid without any work completed. I ordered additional parts and will need to hire and pay someone for a 3rd time to finally complete my job. Not sure I'll hire this company to complete my work

The employee who did the work was very friendly. They were also able to fit us into the schedule quickly. The issue was the price. They initially quoted 1400, but they additional fees they tacked on throughout the day seemed to be never ending.

We would call them with future plumbing projects due to their professional and knowledge abilities.

I spoke with him after getting prices from a couple of other plumbers in the area.  Most of the pricing sounded like I was opening my checkbook and they would tell me when to stop writing zeros.  Carters gave me the same estimate in terms of rates but they gave me a sense of what it would actually take in terms of time. 
They were good to the estimate.  I am confident in hiring them again.

We called Carters and left a message Sunday night.  They called back first thing Monday morning and made an emergency stop to our home within an hour.   Fixed the pipe in no time at all and helped us with a few "move in" tips as well (like helping to find the shut off valves for the hoses).  Great guy!  Everyone needs a go-to plumber, and this is ours!

I came home from work to find a pipe had burst, which was spraying water all over my hardwood floors. I quickly used Google for a plumber search and Carter's Plumbing of Waterford pulled up. I quickly called them and within fifteen minutes they arrived. As a single mom, I worry about pricing and trusting contractors but Carter's Plumbing didn't even charge me an emergency call. They quickly repaired the pipe and called a restoration company for me. The pipe that burst was also connected to my outside facet so they told me I would have to have that replaced as well. Carter's Plumbing came back out the next day to replace the outside piece of pipe (because they had to return to another job they were on when I called) and included that pipe in the price of the emergency repair. I was shocked. Great price. Great service. Highly recommended. I have their number saved in my phone because they gained my trust and loyalty.

I called Carter's Plumbing Saturday afternoon thinking I would get an answering machine but I was able to speak with the Plumber and he made it to my house in about an hour. He was freindly and professional. It took him about 20 minutes and he fixed the problem. I was so happy I didn't have to replace the tank and he had all the parts in his truck. Carter's Plumbing has earned my business and I highly recommend them to others!
