The crew showed up right on time 8am and went straight to work. They were pleasant and friendly and let me know how soon I could walk on surface and drive on new surface. They finished up before 9am. Driveway looks fantastic and surrounding areas were free of debris. This is our second time with AR. I have gotten other quotes and found their pricing to be quite competitive. I recommended them for our neighborhood beach driveway resurfacing and I highly recommend to anyone looking for this type of services.

I hired A&R Sealcoating because I've seen their signs in our neighborhood and the work they've done. They provided a reasonable estimate and within 2-3 weeks came out and sealed the cracks in our asphault driveway and then sealcoated the entire driveway.
They did a great job and were done within a couple of hours. I would definitely recommend them to others, and I will recommend them to our neighborhood association for work needed this coming summer.

Both the estimator and the crew came exactly on time. 
They did the work in a professional manner.
They had all the equipment and materials needed to do the job right.
They even took care of some small areas that were missed in the original quote, at no extra charge.  I really admire contractors who will do that.
We were preparing the house for sale, and having a nice-looking driveway adds a lot to the first impression or "curb appeal".
The amount was just slightly more than the other bidder, but it was well worth the difference.

The 3 men working on our driveway edged everything and blew off the driveway before heating and filling the cracks. Then they put down the sealant. When they were almost finished with the entire job, there was a sudden, unpredicted, short, storm that left buds all over the driveway. They waited out the rain,blew off the driveway again, and put on another layer of asphalt without any extra charge. All this work was done with a great sense of humor and an attitude of "we stand behind our work". They could not have been better!

I've been working with A & R Sealcoating Inc for 12 years or so. I use them every year. They come out and first they clean up the driveway if it isn't done by your lawn company, so they edge it and then clean it. They patch up some spots if any concrete chips came out. Then they seal it over once and that is it. One of the things I like was that they had the $125 price for many many years. They never raised it until four years ago, to $150, and that's not a huge price raise so that is reasonable. There was one time we forgot to pay them, and they handled it very well. We've been such a long time customer I suppose that made a difference. They weren't mean, they just asked if I was all right! A guy was in the neighborhood and rang the doorbell - which I don't really quite like, but he was right there and I guess they know me well enough to know I'm personable. He said I just wanted to stop by and make sure everything was all right. So it wasn't that he was harassing me by any means. It was casual. They showed more of a concern than Hey, you haven't paid your bill. It was their demeanor and the way that they handled it that was very nice and professional - and neighborly. They displayed concern. I thought the way they handled it was really nice. They put up a board when they've done work, and I think they work for most of my neighborhood. When you see the decent quality work and you see a lot of people using them, you feel safe and secure because if people didn't like their work or their price they'd stop using them. They will always tell you We'll come out Tuesday but if it rains and it doesn't clear up then it may be Thursday. They remind their customers that this kind of circumstance can interrupt service delivery and quality. That is how you keep customers happy. They have a good crew and the job takes only about an hour. I'm not usually here when they come, but I would say they are professional after how they treated the situation when I forgot the payment.

The salesman was very thorough in describing the work to be done.  The work crews were polite and extremely helpful in determining that the job was done properly.

Great job. They were quick and professional.  I was able to request an estimate and schedule the work over the phone. They did not leave a mess after they were done. They were also willing to bill me, so I did not have to sit at home and wait for them.

They are very well known and I thought that they were very good. I would recommend them.

I recommended them to my daughter to do the condos. They were fast. They were god. They were neat. Their prices were fair. I would use them in the future.

They did an excellent prep job. I am very satisfied with the total job. I will definitely use them again. About 50 feet of my driveway has stones in one side. They did not get one drop of sealer on the stones which was a concern of mine. They were true professionals. Price reflects $100 for cracks, $250 for the seal coating which I felt was very fair.

They were good and did an absolutely fantastic job. I had specific requirements because and I knew what to ask for. Their prices were in the range I expected it to be and for the work they did. To me they were a reputed company and they used a good product which also did some research on. They were really busy. They do asphal and they have been in the business for a really long time. They did what they were supposed to.

They got back to us pretty fast. I wasn?t here when they showed up but my son was. They showed up when they were supposed to. I have a brick walkway next to the driveway and they didn?t get any of the sealant on that, so that was good. I don?t think they took all the grass out of the cracks - they took some but not all of it. There were some dips in the driveway. It was not as if the asphalt was missing but it had some sort of puddles. They could have put cold patch or whatever that needs to go in there before they sealed it. I think that that is part of doing an estimate - looking at what it needs and what it is going to cost. I could have then taken a decision on whether I needed it or not. I didn?t love the woman at the office when I called in. I asked them for an estimate for replacing the driveway entirely, and they said that it was too small a job and that they wouldn?t bid on it. It is a decent driveway and not a long winding road - it is 3 car-lengths, and you can park 6 cars actually. I wasn?t happy at all, and I would not use them again.

The quality of work was perfect! Have never seen a driveway seal coating done so professionally, neatly, with pride of workmanship, perfect prep & cleanup. There is absolutely no seal coat on our abutting pavers, concrete garage apron, adjoining road or adjacent grass. The texture is very uniform, with no swirling, puddling or uncoated areas. There were some rainy days prior to our scheduled work, so jobs became backlogged. A&R called to reschedule at our convenience and did the work on time.

I have used this company for many years and I am very happy with their service. They are very professional and they are very prompt. All the neighbors use them. They have been in service for a long time
