Superb. The new door was aligned well, cost was very reasonable, cleaned up afterwards, and the extra materials were all put carefully on the side along with the guilty piece of wood that had torn out. The new frame wood was spliced in well as far as I can tell (the next storm will have the final say) but it's all looking great right now. Thanks Bob!

Bob is a great guy to have work on your stuff. Very responsive, went out of his way to make sure the job was done right. Ran into a snafu that increased the scope of the job, and he just made it happen - I offered him extra, but he said no.
I would not hesitate to bring him on again for another job.

We ordered a 14 foot octagonal gazebo from Homeplace Structures in Lancaster PA. Excellent company with all products built in their Amish factory, then packaged and shipped to site. The kit has all materials and construction manual, but I hired Bob Bagnall to handle assembly, since we were placing the structure on a existing concrete deck which had a slope (for drainage). Although the manufacturer claims that 2-3 guys can build on a weekend, that's a stretch. The roof sections weighed 150 lbs. each and took 4 men (including two young guys with strong backs) to lift and hold in place while the rest were fitted together.
Bob's supervision was essential and he took a very thorough approach to the job. He went far beyond the standard instructions and added some elements which improved stability and weatherproof ability (e.g. sheathing along the roof vent ridge and silicon caulk along all roof joints). The finished product is a terrific addition to the back yard and we could not have gotten the job complete this fall by ourselves.

I think it went well. The kitchen remodel was done on a 1927 bungalow. When remodelling older homes, I think it is a challenge to make the desired updates without robbing the home of its character. I wanted it to look traditional but also not break the bank. Bob was very helpfull/patient in guiding me through the planning process of what would work and be aesthetically pleasing (but not break the bank in the process). I think that Residential Resurrections was very conscientious during the demo work (dust barriers/dust collection equipment). Also, they were able to refinish/reuse the old baseboards/cold air returns/heat registers (many many coats of paint/adhesive from previous remodels). Anyone who has reused building materials like this knows that it is very time consuming and takes patience. I'm happy they were able to reuse these parts.
I'm happy with the laminate floor that they suggested. It matches (and transitions to) the existing flooring very well. They coordinated the required updated basement/kitchen electrical work with the city/and their suggested contractor. No complaints with the cabinet/appliance/countertop install. Overall, I think that Bob and Rick were very easy to work with. I'm happy with the results. Next time, I need a job done, I'll be giving them a call.

Bob and his partner (Rich, I think?) spent most of a Saturday installing a very long interior handrail in my hallway, a short handrail on my porch and a ceiling fan in my baby's bedroom.
The handrail projects were a breeze, and they did a great job installing them. The long one in my hall is about 11 or 12 feet long and my only issue is I had to have with this part of the work is that Bob had to come back after his original visit and make a small adjustment, as the railing was a tad bit warped at the end. Bob made the change with no fuss. (The only reason I'm giving Bob a B is because he should have noticed the warp before he finished the job, instead of making me call him to come back and fix it. The warp was fairly obvious).
As it turns out, our ceiling fan project was the more complicated of tasks, as I have older electrical wiring in my house. I knew this going into the project and was a little freaked out because my neighbor, who has a nearly identical house to mine, had just had a ceiling fire in their house after having a light replaced ... Anyway, Bob and his partner did a great job and showed a lot of patience and skill, taking the time to do it right. I'm pretty sure the job was more complicated than they originally estimated, too, but they made sure it was done right despite the fact they were there longer.
I would highly recommend Bob.
It's also worth noting that Bob squeezed my project in on his day off because I had a newborn, and he knew the railings were a safety issue ... He's a pretty busy guy, as most quality handymen are around here.

Bob was awesome! He was on time and he did a great job. He put up the wall mount for our tv with no problems. He also gave us great advice on how to do things ourselves on other projects we had lined up (we saved money by learning from him!). I highly recommend him and will definitely call him again for projects too difficult for us. =) Thanks Bob!

I called several handyman companies for estimates. Two never replied. Of those that did, Bob Bagnall (aka Residential Resurrections) responded quickly and gave the lowest estimate over the phone. When he came out to my house to confirm the estimate, he stuck to the one given over the phone, and that's the amount he ended up charging me. Bob scheduled the job for the day before regular city trash pickup in my neighborhood and called the city himself to make sure he knew how it wanted the carpeting handled for pickup. He and the fellow helping him arrived promptly at 10 a.m. on the day scheduled, removed carpeting from the hall and one bedroom before lunch, and after lunch finished the job, including removing all the carpet, padding, staples, tack strips, etc., while just moving furniture back and forth in the rooms; bundling up carpet and padding for pickup; taking the bundles out to the street; thoroughly vacuuming all the rooms; and replacing moved furniture where it belonged--all while dealing calmly with a couple of very scared cats and getting finished before 4 p.m. They did a great job, and early next morning the city trash collectors came by and took all my front yard mess away!
As Bob suspected would be the case, we found a rectangular piece of plywood stained the same color as the floor covering up a no longer functioning cold air return in the hallway when the hallway carpet was removed. The piece was fastened down but still a little shaky. So at no extra charge to me, he and his helper checked out the situation from my basement, and he gave me estimates, both for fastening the piece more securely, and for replacing it entirely with wood flooring feathered in properly so as to make the replacement match the rest of the floor. I'm still deciding what want done but when I do I certainly will hire Bob.

Bob was very responsive, punctual, and a pleasure to do business with. He was extremely thorough and took his time to complete very professional work. His painting and staining was a work of art! We are very pleased and would absolutely use his services again in the future.

I left a message on Robert Bagnall's voice mail and he returned my call promptly. He arrived on time to see the areas requiring renovation. A day or two later he gave us an estimate that listed the cost of each part and labor charges for each job. He explained in detail what needed to be done to get a solid installation of the bathroom components. There is space between the acrylic tub-size shower and the wall which made it necessary to install blocking between the wall and the acrylic. To install the blocking, he had to open the kitchen wall. Dining room - gave us two alternatives for the cabinet doors, with cost for each.
The finished work looks good and is functional. Bob arrived to work when he said he would; he cleaned up after himself; and the job cost a little less than the estimate.

The job went well. Bob was punctual, explained the job in detail (the quote was very thorough). He did the work according to the schedule. He took great care to avoid damage to existing ceramic wall tile. He was able to avoid the excess dust usually associated with grinding grout and tile.
He took the initiative to find available matching tile, threshold and toilet that fit the bathroom style.
Very detailed and conscientious. I'd recommend him.

Bob installed an over-the-range convection microwave oven. There was quick phone contact after initial email, and an appointment time was set. He showed up exactly when he said he would and was very personable. He was knowledgeable about the task at hand, and the job was completed in a little over one hour, removing the old oven and replacing it with the new. He even brought in a small shop vac and cleaned up after installation was complete. Hire him and see for yourself. Find out what I know -- you won't be sorry. BTW, I have more work to do at my house, so....... He'll be back!

Rich came by exactly at our scheduled appointment time. He took out the carpet tack neatly and gave us good suggestions as to how to patch up some flaws in the floor for safety. The price was very fair for the time spent and I was happy with it.
The only problem I had with their service wasn't the service at all. We had had a bit of phone miscommunication in that Rich had thought we needed the tack removed in only one room, but we actually needed every room done. (Based on the situation I described when I left my original message, though, I can see how it happened and mostly blame myself!) The result was that he didn't get to test the flooring for the type of finish. He did provide us with some helpful tips he'd gathered for us to do it ourselves though.
Overall I am pleased with Rich's work and would hire Residential Resurrections again for other projects.

Our experience with Bob and Steve was excellent. We started the project in the middle of November, 2010 and completed it at the beginning of January, 2011. Bob and Steve had a great disposition. We have a large German Sheppard, which can be quite loud and demanding of attention. Bob and Steve played with him, let him outside… Just like they were part of our family. It was a lengthy stretch of time during the construction but I believe that we got along quite well. There were a couple of misunderstandings regarding the bathroom floor but Bob tried to find a fair solution for both. In particular, the most costly to him was the pattern which I wanted on the floor. When we had talked prior to starting (and me buying the tiles) I had chosen a herringbone pattern. As Bob was beginning the work (about a month later) he confirmed that the pattern was “brick” and me not thinking about it agreed… until I saw the actual one on the floor laid out and cemented! It was a very hard decision… I tried to make a “deal” with him regarding painting the ceiling a second time, and I would keep the brick pattern. Bob and Steve pulled all the work that they had done, cleaned the tiles, and re-laid the pattern as we had originally agreed. He lost a day of work, which I did not pay, and still painted my ceiling three times! This is one example that Bob is an individual with integrity and has the customer’s satisfaction as his priority. The linear drain in the shower was a challenge that turned out great! Bob researched on what to do and asked the assistance of a friend to make sure things went smoothly. We had to make a couple of adjustments as the he discovered the existing structure in the floor but was always willing to find a solution to the unexpected problems (which we had plenty). I want to highlight the willingness to keep me satisfied. Any little adjustment I wanted made or fixing any items that they didn’t notices were not correct, were done, as soon as possible without any push back. Bob and Steve had general knowledge in all areas, and they complemented each other well. Bob worked on the mirror frame (he built it, stained it and hung it) until the color and graining matched as close as possible to our existing cherry cabinets. This was a great surprised because it looks so good and it really changed the look of the bathroom. They were always cheerful and joked around. We were not concerned leaving them at home; they had their keys and they came and go as they needed. The project took a little more than anticipated due to some unexpected problems, additions we made and delay of some of the materials (I ordered all materials). The only item I might suggest to improvement is to control the dust and debris in the no-immediate working areas. Truly, I think they did the best they could considering that they were working in the garage and they had to go up two flights of stairs and work out next to our bedroom, which we were still using. They put runners and coverings on the carpet, stairs, and wood foor. I’m not sure if this is the difference between someone very neat and someone not so neat… Overall, it was a very good experience. Finally, I want to mention the experience I had while we were consulting with different contractors and going through the quoting process. Residential Resurrections was not the lowest bidder (actually was the highest) because I think Bob had included such an amount of detail in his quote that it was very comprehensive. There were no questions or unknowns. Plus, the presentation was by far the most professional out of the other three contacts I had. As the project progressed, Bob would provide me with a “progress report,” which related back to the initial quote. I know exactly what was added, what was deleted, what he purchased, etc. Very transparent; excellent communication. In the initial interview, Bob was very helpful at suggesting alternatives to the areas I was unclear about. He didn’t try to “sell” me anything that I didn’t initiate. He explained that he uses Schluter-DITRA in all his tiling projects; that it increases the cost due to labor and material but that he felt it provides a better result. He gave me the option not to use the Schluter-DITRA but that it wasn’t what he preferred. My husband and I were impressed by this. Among other things, it was what closed the deal. One more thing, we’re DirectBuy members. I purchased almost all the items (sinks, faucets, shower components, tiles, toilet, lighting fixture, hardware). Bob did not have an issue with this circumstance (other contractors weren’t so open to it).
