G R Fencing

They are a family owned business. We talked to the owner and they were trying to get the business off the ground. They didn't show up for the first application but we didn’t call anybody else and they showed up a week later. They gave us $400 off. They were just excellent. They did all the paperwork and everything. We didn't have to go pull permits or anything. They cleaned up everything. If they'd had a vacuum for the lawn, they would have done that too. They were very, very nice. It took them 4 days and that included getting permits. The pricing was really good and they worked with us. They even offered to take payments. We paid cash but not many companies offer that. We let them choose and pick up the gates and they are beautiful. They were included in the price. They were very professional but they didn't mind talking to us. They talked to me and answered my questions. We would definitely use them again.

Gary decided to show up at 11am and did not offer an apology or explanation for his delay other than stating" we are kinda slow". He told me it would take a couple of hours. But, first he had to go to Home Depot for the paint for the posts. Once he finally started, he and his partner worked for about an hour. Then, he summoned me outside for a deposit and stated that he'd return in the morning to add a second coat of paint to the posts. He had only removed the old fencing and gate and placed them in my yard and he said he'd pick it up tomorrow. Well, so far, I've called him to determine when he'd arrive to complete the job and was told "in an hour or so..." My husband is extremely upset, because Gary mentioned the word "refurbished" when I questioned him about the style of gate we'd have installed. This implied that he was going to take our "old" rusty gate and paint it so it looks "new". At this point, I have called him to let him know that he is fired if we cannot resolve this issue asap. Of course, he did not answer the phone. I would never hire this company again and I strongly suggest against anyone hiring this company. Unless, you do not value timeliness, customer service, follow-up and honesty.

First I would like to say that a lot of fencing contractors say they will do your smaller job and even make an appt to come view and give you a quote.  Then you never see or hear from them again.   Not so with this company. I got an immediate response and he was very patient with us given the fact that not only was it a small job but we could not decide on the material we wanted to use!  He offered up various options, we decided - he ordered the materials and BAM! our section of fencing was completed and looks great - even after a very nasty winter.  We feel we got a great price and really love the job that was done.

I called for an estimate and Gary was out there the next evening (Saturday). He called me Monday with an estimate for a 5 foot gate, I called him back on Tuesday to change it to a 6-foot and he increased the estimate by only $30. He was to come out Thursday to remove and install, but the big rains had come by then so we moved it to the next week on Tuesday. They arrived at 2:00 PM, removed the old gate, dug out one fence pole, dug a new hole and replaced the pole, shortened the upper pole and the fence, reattached the fence to the gate post and tightened, and installed and balanced the new gate. Done and cleaned up by 3:00 PM. They were very good and professional - even on this small job!

Many companies wont bother with you or just dont show up for the appointment if you 'only' have a small job. This is not the case with Gary. He was very responsive and discussed our options for material in a clear manner. He then gave us a fair quote after answering all of my questions. He ordered the materialsand came to our home exactly when he said he would and did a very nice work. We would suggest him to a friend anytime. Great Job, very satisfied customers.

It was great. Gary is very nice and did great work. We found the company on Angie's List. Gary came out promptly to give us a quote, performed the work when he said he would, and charged us what he quoted.

Overall good; only issue with anyone is if you say your going to be there, then be there. Otherwise a simple project that met our expectations and price was very fair compared to other companies,

It went very well. Gary was always easy to reach by phone. He understood our needs and discussed different options and prices. He always showed up when he said he would. He and another man did the work quickly and efficiently, cleaned up, and were nice to my elderly mother. The price was reasonable and was one of the lower of several estimates. The city inspector who came out to inspect and close out the permit said they did a very good job. My mother liked them and is very happy with the fence. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this company.

Fence man was on time and gave a good and competitive price. Excellent work. Cleaned up afterwards.

After calling around to about 7 different fence companies Fence Man came in the lowest by far. They came out when they said they would and work was completed when they said it would be.

I was impressed that they could match the wood so closely. It took about a day and a half to finish up everything. He was polite and knew exactly what I wanted and did it right. I couldn't have asked for a better person to do this job.

HE CAME OVER TO GIVE A FREE ESTIMATE (WHICH WAS WELL UNDER OTHER QUOTES). THEY CALLED BACK WITH DATE OF THE JOB, CAME THAT DAY AND WAS DONE WITHIN QUOTED TIME.
