I highly recommend Roof Rite. Jim the owner came out to give an estimate and upon meeting him I knew this was the company that would be doing my roof. He was not the cheapest but he was not the most expensive either. I felt he was honest and personable and sold us on what he would do for us. They did everything they said they would and completed the job in just a few days with very minimal mess. Honest and reliable ~ the roof looks great and I couldn’t be more satisfied with Roof Rite.

I highly recommend Roof-Rite based on my experience with them recently. I called and left a message to ask if they repaired skylights. I got a very quick call back and talked with a very nice lady who said they did and someone would contact me shortly. She said that it might be a few days, which was fine, but I appreciated the honesty. As she said, I was contacted by Mark who arranged to come by and take a look. He arrived on time and fixed the leak right then, after telling me the cost, which was very reasonable. He said it would be good to recaulk all of the skylights and he inspected other things on the roof, caulking where needed. I waited to do this review until after a storm and I am so pleased. I am leak-free for the first time in many many years (other companies came out and said they fixed them, but they did not). Thanks Roof-Rite, I will be calling you for my roof replacement in the future.

My hot water roof vent cap fly off and I called Roof Rite and they came in within 2 hrs and took care of it. I had used them in the past for my new roof few years ago and was happy so I did not hesitate to call them again for my needs. Some times its not the money but how quickly they can come and fix the issue to avoid further damage. Todd and Mark are great to work with them. I highly recommend.

The installation of the roof went fairly quick and looks good. I have two issues. One (minor) was why some (two) of the gutters weren't secured to the side of the house and the ventilation windows for the attic that were to be installed. The latter is the focus of this review. The issue is that we were told the ventilation windows required custom build and had to be outsource, as our window size was not a standard size. On May 2nd, 2018, I was told that the estimate from Wimsatt, the vendor, would be 12 - 14 days. Roof Rite was paid in full in mid May with the agreed understanding that the vents for the attic would be installed immediately afterwards. It is now December 2018 and there has been no installation of the vents. I have been in touch with the site PM via text messages on a monthly basis, but have not received any indication that this task would be completed. NOTES and CLARIFICATIONS: The site PM said that there would be no cost for the manual labor of the installation, and the vents would be installed as a courtesy provided that I purchase the two vents. This was more of a gentleman's agreement than contractual. This is my error for believing and accepting that offer and is a lesson learned. The site PM said that should I want to install the vents myself, they could be dropped off. Seeing how I neither had the tools or laddering/scaffolding (a reason why I hired the company and requested the professionals complete the work), the offer seemed to imply that I had to wait until the company was good and ready to deal with me. In summary, the company has been paid in full, I have been asking for over 7 months on the installation of the vents and, in my eyes, the project has not been completed. There are ways to continue the working relationship if additional funding is required for work. In my line of work, that is called a 'change request'. To just ignore the issue ruins working relationships and ultimately damages the reputation of the vendor/implementation team. Please correct this.

"Please enter what you would like the response to look like:I am the owner, since the project manager has not been with us for a few months, I can understand why texts have not been answered. If the office was called I would of been happy to resolve any issues and there would not be a need for this review My question is were you to supply said vents? Once clarified I will try to send a technician to rectify the situation. After reviewing the proposal, it was determined that said vents were not even in the proposal. Despite the fact that you did not contact our office directly I have directed my technician to install the said vents. I would certainly categorize this complaint unwarranted and unfair Jim Brown Roofrite Regards, Jim Brown [phone number removed]"

The sales person and owner (Jim) spent a lot of time with me navigating through the various options to get me what I needed. The team foreman (Dave) was responsive when I had questions. They worked consistently all day through some of the hottest days of summer. The work they did was of high quality - and the roof looks awesome. Jim came to check how things were going daily, and kept me informed of potential delays due to the summer storms that came through, and made sure the roof was adequately protected when the storms hit. The crew were all courteous and did a good job tidying at the end of each day, cleaning up after completion. Having had several quotes from highly reviewed roofing companies, I found his quote to be fair, and the work and service provided to be exceptional. I'd recommend Roof-Rite without hesitation based my experience.

This company was excellent to work with. I had them replace my roof last year and the roof on my parents' house this spring. Worked with Joel who was prompt with the bid and always answered his phone or called me back within a few minutes. Their bid was very competitive and the crew on both jobs were great. They even worked on Sunday after losing a day to the weather. Both jobs included skylight replacement. They were on time and got the jobs completed and totally cleaned up on schedule. Great company!

Todd Miller was very responsive and provided assessment of the roof with pictures which helped convince my insurance company about wind damage to the roof. The quote was very reasonable. The work was done on time. Jeff and his crew did a very good job in removing old shingles and replacing with new. They were on time and polite, cleaned up work areas every day, and kept us informed. Overall I am very happy with Roof-Rite.

I had a new roof put on and I am very displeased with Roof-Rite. I wanted to like them I really did. They gave a very competitive price and made me feel as though I was actually a part of their family (I will give props to their sales team). They stated they have all their own crews who are very good (they do not and they were not). The crew showed up the day of installation and the crew manager complained to me that his crew never showed up on time (he showed up at 8 and the crew 930ish). They then proceeded to replace the roof. After the job was done the crew manager approached me, and reviewed what they did. He then asked me for a tip.. I was caught off guard and responded with an awkward joke (because I have never heard of this), "Sorry, I have no cash but I have a couple beers in the fridge if you really want them." The manager then said those would work (never offer a beer tip I guess) and took them. He also asked and pushed that I give him a check right then and there because he gets a bonus if he leaves with a check (I did their financing which is opening a credit card with 5th third..) He then solicited me for other home jobs (new cabinets, floors, any other work) for the next couple of days (he would call the next day asking for more work saying he would give a referral bonus). I told (Roof-Rite sales man I was working) with and he laughed about it.. Saying Roofers are crazy... After, I went into the attic to see how it looked (something I imagine few do) and did not like what I saw. I attached the pictures of, "work we would post on our website" as they stated because nothing was wrong with it. After repeatingly being assured this was all up to code (which I did not believe) I went to my city building planner and asked him. It turned out that they only submitted the paperwork for a permit, they never actually received the permit (something that they agreed to do in our agreement) and the city inspector stated the repair job was, "Absolutely unacceptable." With the city on my side they finally, reluctantly, agreed to fix their subpar work. A month or two later (after all the rain) my wife and I noticed a leak in the upstairs ceiling (something that was not there before). We called them to come out and fix it. Shaun (who was a great person to work with) was the individual they sent out and he took a look at the roof and noticed they did not tar the nails and that the leak was coming from a nail they did not nail properly. He stated it was popped up and letting the water in. I then called from Roof-Rite and asked him if they could fix the leak damage cause by a faulty installation He said they don't usually do this but he will because they take care of "my people." It has been two week since I had this call and I have tried to follow up with him to no response. They continue to keep pushing it off. To recap: I am very displeased with Roof-Rite. They did subpar work stating it was the standard and only after I had the city involved did they repair it. Because of their faulty installation, I had a leak that leaked through the ceiling and they are refusing to fix it. I repeatedly asked for the pictures that they took of the replacement process (something they told me they would give me) and have been refused. The only pictures I have are of me going into the attic and taking them. We had several other roofers/contractors come out and take a look at the roof and they stated the flashing was subpar as well as other areas of the roof. To them our new roof was not how a new roof should look.

"I do not know what to say. When we did this job it was an older home of which the deck had 1 x 6 boards. Unfortunately when we installed the shingles our roofing nails hit some knots in the wood which caused a couple boards to split. At this point as the owner I met with the building inspector, removed shingles and replaced boards. I was complemented by city inspector on a great job and passed final inspection. I gave the homeowner my business card and requested he contacted me if he had any concerns, which he did not. Months later a nail lifted up, not uncommon on 1 x 6 boards. We went out and fixed; this is referred as a nail pop. We scheduled to have the drywall to be painted this Thursday. Customer was not happy with delay with painters schedule apparently. The customer never called me directly as requested. Then proceeded unfairly to trash our company on google and Angie's List while we were addressing his minor concern. I believe any prudent individual would find this to be an unwarranted and frivously review. And certainly an abuse of this forum. Certainly things do not go perfectly, but it is how you address them. I stand by our many wonderful reviews! Jim Brown Roofrite"

This company was nice to work with. They were on time and very professional and got me into their schedule right away. The crew worked hard and had the work completed on time. Did a great job of cleaning up. The roof looks great and they did a very nice job on the sky light replacement. They had the whole job done in two and a half days.

The company Roof-rite help me and provided a suggested company to help me repair my gutter; and the company they recommended which is All Star Gutter & the name of the person who came to repair was Mark; everything went very well and they repaired my gutter for a reasonable price; i had to wait for a couple of days but that's ok, as long as the repair was done; their price was the best like $75 less than the other companies. I was very happy for the company provided by Angie's List, and the referral was excellent.

Excellent. All done in one day. Showed up on time with everything needed. Was willing to use my leftover shingles for what needed to be replaced. Explained and showed my wife why the original skylights failed. Quoted $1700. Job went better than estimated. Final price was $1600.
