The overall experience was very good. Dan did an excellent job, and I was very pleased with his work. He is very busy, so patience is necessary when hiring him to do work for you. But, he does an excellent job so he's worth the wait!
I later discovered that a friend of mine has also hired Dan Martin to refinish several pieces of wood furniture and was also very happy with him and his work. So, he is well-known in the area and well-respected as well.
If I ever need to have furniture restored or refinished again, I would trust Dan Martin of Martin Furniture Refinishers to do an excellent job.
