Finished Basements Plus

It was off the charts. 5 stars across the board. I highly recommend this company. From start to finish customer service is off the charts. Very refreshing.

It was excellent. The workers were great and very professional. They did an outstanding job.

Finished Basements Plus did a great job. I liked the fact that they coordinate everything, all contractors are approved by them and the schedule is set by them. We had an online portal that allowed us to see how the project would progress. The end result is a beautiful finished basement.

The project went extremely well. First, we were sent to the Finished Basement Plus's (FBP) designer in early May. For this we visited Katie at the FBP office in Wixom. They have very cool software from which our basic design came up in in almost a photo quality, and could be viewed from various angles and a top view. This was great for my wife and I - but it was also very useful to show to friends and family. Katie also went through potential changes we might want to consider. We did not feel this was an upsell. We did add about $1500 in costs, this included a better floor and costs for city inspectors. We were told it would take about a month to get the project ready to go. Katie felt it would go on June 6. In very early June we met with our project manager Steve. He made it very clear that we could contact him at any time. It was enjoyable getting to know Steve and his personality was perfect for us. On June 5, the FBP people began delivering product to our house. On June 6, the project officially began. The guys (and at least one woman) worked their butts off. All the people were very pleasant to me, my wife and our dog. We were very comfortable with these folks in our home (they provide a key box to allow staff entry when we were not around). Things went fast. Once the dry wall was up, we were excited to see our plan develop into reality. The day the carpet was installed was simply great. The electrician and a few others wanted us there to determine final lighting and light switch decisions. Steve, our project manage, was not always around, but was clearly communicating with the folks working the basements. Occasionally, I checked in with Steve, usually via text, and he always got back to me quickly - even if it was a Sunday night. Communication, which is always important on a project like this, could not have been better. By late July, the job was essentially done. It took another week or so to get the city inspectors out and to do final touch ups. It took about seven weeks to complete the project and there were no awkward cost overruns. We could not have been more pleased.

It went very well. Quality of workmanship and the design was great. Finished Basements Plus was also very attentive to allowing us to choose what design options we wanted.  Work areas were kept clean as well as pathways through house to work areas.  Fit and finish of work was very nice.

Provided a 4 day radon test (48 hour test option too) with electronic testing machines and instant results. They tested 2 separate locations simultaneously. I was impressed. Mitch had a lot of knowledge and answered a lot of questions. He even met with me (the buyer) after meeting with the seller at a different location. I would recommend this company to do your testing for radon in the home buying process due to their knowledge, electronic testing machines, instant results and customer service. They do remediation too if needed but we only used them for testing.

The work was started as planned, I was informed by the foreman everyday what would happen next. I only received one phone call from a worker he was delayed in traffic, he was late 20 minutes! The project went flawlessly, every trade came when expected, even the inspectors showed up on time! Finished Basement Plus truely has a roster of very highly qualified trade people working with them.
