Just got our patio done by NC Cement. What a fantastic job by Tom and his crew. Our expectations were met and then some. The quality and the appearance is A plus. We would highly recommend NC Cement for anyone looking to get a patio installed.

My experience with N.C. Cement exceeded my expectations. I had a lot of work done on my new construction home. I had over 5,000 square feet of exposed aggregate (pool deck, 2 round sitting areas and bands on sides of my driveway and the borders of my motor court) and it looks stunning! The way they do the exposed aggregate is so much nicer than any other exposed agg jobs that I’ve seen, especially considering the difficult slope I have in my driveway. The concrete looks beautiful with the exposed aggregate. Every neighbor or friend coming by our house stops and compliments our driveway. Not only do they do great work, they are wonderful to work with. The owner Nick is a super nice guy and really knows his stuff. Same with Brandon who worked really **** ** my house. They are honest and literally stopped working on my project because my footings by my front steps were not done right and he was worried about me having fractures in my concrete after he poured. That’s what makes them stand out in my opinion! They are professional, honest, hard working, punctual and get the job done quickly. I would use N.C. Cement again and again without hesitation.

NC Cement arrived on time, worked until the daily project phases were completed and protected the newly poured concrete from a sudden rain storm. Very impressed with the professionalism of the owner, Nick and his crew.

Phenomenal work.  Whole thing was done in 3 days, I was blown away.  They were very professional, on time, and did great work.  I will definitely be going with them again.

From the time the crew showed up, it was very clear these guys were the 'A' Team.  They had a 220v diesel generator (on a trailer) which powered the floor grinder.  At 54" wide, it was heavy enough to work the surface of the concrete and progressively grind it flat.  Changing out pads from coarse to finer grits, the machine, materials and laborer made quick work of the garage floor.  Finally, densifier was applied to the floor to help strengthen the cement surface as well as providing a sheen during the following burnishing process.  The entire sq ft. of the garage was completed in about 6 hours.  Since the machine had dual vacuums to suck up the grit during the process, the garage and surrounding area remained pretty clean during the job.
I have received many compliments on the finished cement surface (though I need to complete the remainder of the garage), and would contact NC Cement again if I needed a service they offer.  Very professional, punctual, courteous.  Can't say enough really.

It went very well the first 2 days.  The crew was on time and professional.  The work was very well done.  On the third day, the saw cut crew was supposed to come mid-morning but I got a call late morning  they were on their way.  When they didn't show, I called at 2pm.  The office didn't know where they were.  However, at 2:40pm they did show up to complete the job.  The cutting was done very well.  However, they were supposed to do a cleanup of the street.  It was done very poorly.
In summary, I would recommend N.C. Cement but I would make sure the saw cut crew would be on time and do a good cleanup.

It seemed fine at first and then we called them for cement cracks around the porch...they asked us to send pictures an they said someone would come by and they never did....In 2014 the cement began scaling on 50% of the driveway and needs to be replaced.  We contacted they and they say it's not their fault.  We had an engineer firm complete a study and they say they added too much water to the cement and/or it was overworked in finishing.  Our only options are thru legal remedies.

The work was completed in a very workmanlike manner.  It looks wonderful and held up very well over this past winter..  We had some issues regarding one spot and they are coming out to take care of it.  Tom thanks for all your hard work..

The work was exceptional. The sidewalks, patio, porch, plus 15 inch ribbons on each side of the driveway were done in exposed aggregate with a dyed edging. Although I had an idea of what I wanted , the co-owner ( Caesar Palmieri ) was very helpful in suggestions regarding color choices and enhancements pertaining to the job. The crew was very professional , especially the ones doing the detail work. It was like watching artisans at work. Although the price may sound a tad high, in this case I think I got what I paid for. I have had passersby stop and inquire about the work.

Tom in sales was very professional on time and easy to deal with, one of the main reasons I hired NC Cement. The entire work crew beginning with foreman Brandon were great in every aspect of the job. I would highly recommend this company.

I previously rated NC cement an A but now would like to change it. The original work last summer was beautiful. Unfortunately, I've had an outstanding issue for a year and no one will contact me to fix it. Within a month of the cement being poured there was a huge chip on the deck and the cantilever cement started chipping around our steps. I tried to have it fixed last summer but was put off with a promise it would be corrected in the spring. In May 2014 someone came out to inspect with a promise to return the following day. No one showed up and the issues are still not fixed. I've left a couple messages and have sent emails but no one is responding. I've had a few people ask about our cement this summer but hesitate to tell them who did it because of this poor service after the fact.

I first contacted NC Cement about getting a bid. Stacy was the person answering the phone and how polite and professional she was immediately! She scheduled our appointment with Tom within just a few days of me calling. I was very happy with that! And Tom called before hand just to make sure everything/time was working for me. He was very courteous and just nice! He arrived with ideas, iPad photos and just talked with my husband and myself. We liked him immediately. He gave us a very fair price and let us know the time frame in which the work would be performed and finished. He was in contact with us and had the fastest turn around response time when I did call him with a question or two. I even changed my mind that I wanted colored concrete and sent him a picture of what we really liked, and he knew right away which color it was, the number and code and everything. I am very impressed with Tom in his amazing customer service, attentiveness, politeness, attention to what we wanted/needed, timing and just overall.
He had called to let us know when they would be out a few days ahead of time, and even earlier than expected. That was terrific! The NC Cement workers were here early, worked hard, were very polite and professional, did an excellent job and worked extremely hard. Tom even showed up and just checked on everything and everything was going smoothly and terrific!
They put the finishing and final touches the next day after the cement was finished and the gentlemen that were working on that cleaned up everything and even its surrounding area. I was impressed and they even cleaned our driveway and paid very great attention to detail in making sure everything looked great. Our colored cement looks amazing and we LOVE IT!
I told Tom how impressed with are with NC Cement and already have given out his number to a friend that was over today! She needs a new drive way and garage done. I am extremely impressed and pleased with their work and I would HIGHLY recommend NC Cement to anyone looking to get a contractor company that works hard, does an excellent job and is very personable, efficient, reliable and just great to interact with! They gave me a great experience!

Jim came to give us an estimate. It was well within other bids. He promised us the job would be done professionally, the crews would clean up and everything would be done within a reasonable time frame, We added a few options to the work adding to the bid.
The crews arrived four weeks late. They were messy, inconsiderate of our personal property. They were uncooperative with others on the job work in our pool installing tile. The staining powder they used floated everywhere, staining our fence, neighbors siding and cement and elsewhere. The promise of clean up was a joke. They hauled away most of the concrete pad but left pieces 4and quot;x4and quot; and smaller scattered and buried all over. They left our side yard filled with 6-12 inch tracks and refused to make good and fill them in. They left stain, foam and concrete in our pool that was white. The pool shifted and they were to remedy that but never returned.
They were so excited about a job they were doing elsewhere most of the crew went back and forth to see the work.
Men from the company did return in the spring of 2012 to reseal the deck finish but never returned to take care of a a few cracks.
Very poor workmanship.
Response from NC Cement
"I was taken by surprise reading this post because when he paid us after completion, the only issue was the sealer which we returned for when the weather allowed us to in the spring. After some investigation, we discovered the member is actually Pastor [member name removed], whom we did a job for at [member information removed]. It was very difficult to figure out who this post was actually coming from as we did not do any work at the address listed (which is his church), or for the member or person known as [member name removed]. We did do a job for Pastor [member name removed], however the total cost was $15,300. I see he has changed the amount from the $25,000 he originally posted. The job we did for him was VERY old pool rehab. Their issues with the pool have nothing to do with our company. The ‘shifting’ happened when they filled the pool due to the weight of the water and the age ( appx 50 yrs) of the pool. The integrity of the pool was not our responsibility, nor did the replacement of the concrete pool deck have any effect on the existing pool. We had to wait for the tile guys they hired to finish their work before we could do ours, therefore we were delayed in starting and had to reschedule. The changes they made also played a factor in when our work was started. The release color that blows around and settles on other areas washed off as usual. We told him there would be a mess and it was cleaned up as we said it would be. The inside of the pool was already very dirty from other contractors as well as nature, and needed to be cleaned out before they filled it. As far as the tracks left in the yard, he was told what equipment would be used and where, and it was understood that landscaping was not a part of the contract. We do our best to preserve existing landscaping. We often do 2 jobs in the same area and pull laborers from one to the other to reduce down time and increase man power where needed, therefore I find his statement about our excitement irrelevant."

Everyone, was on time. They were very neat and meticulous. They were even several hundred dollars cheaper than my neighbors asphalt drive, which was much smaller. I wish all contractors would do a great job as the people from "N.C. Cement", did. Even the neighbors were impressed !
