Detroit Stone

Needed 2 small countertops and some backsplash. Also had to have a piece of granite removed & replaced on a tub surround that I was installing. A different company installed granite first time measured wrong and never came back to fix. Work was completed and job looks good. Reason I liked this company is that when called or talked to employees, they were friendly and not condescending like other places have been.

The initial installation did not occur because the sink that they cut the countertop for would not fit in the sinkbase cabinet that I have. They returned the next day and had the right sink, but the countertop did not quite fit correctly and had been miscut in other areas as well. The third time was a charm. The countertop fits great and looks great. The company was all about making things right.

Great details and attention to timing and wishes of the customer were great. Their selection was good. I was not part of the final installation. I was there for the measuring and the fitting but the final detail I saw it after it was put in and I think they did a great job. I helped my aunt and uncle so I had to clean. My direct contact with them was like once removed but they were happy. I asked them about how they were and they said they responded to them very well. They even called to follow up.

I have been very pleased with the work by Detroit Stone, after a bit of confusion everything turned out great. Work is very clean and looks even better

Beautiful work!!! The 1 seam was so small, you can't even notice it! The whole staff was very nice, very detail oriented and professional. Will defiantly work with them again and would recommend them to anyone who doesn't want to over pay for stone and great work!

They were great! They were on time, professional, and did what they said they would.

Overall, the job went well. All countertops were nicely installed and the price was very competitive. The installers spoke no English at all, so communication was challenging. It wasn't made clear to us that re-installation of faucets was NOT part of the contract. This was located only in the fine print. As a result we went for 3 days without water while trying to find a plumber to come in and do the work. Finally, all payments had to be made in cash. Kind of strange in that regard.
