Many other plumbers ware already booked, and they arrived quickly the next morning to help at a per-hour rate (not flat rate snake job like other plumbers).  Snaked the floor drain and the sump crock drain, but couldn't find any blockage.  Spent almost 3 hours trying to get it.  The guy did try his best.  After he left, I spoke with the owner and he suggested breaking up the basement floor to see what's going on.  We did that a few days later, and found standing water about 4" below the basement floor.  Called the plumber back on the phone, and he said if there was standing water outside the pipe we needed a basement waterproofing company.  After talking to a few more people, we removed the drain trap and paid another plumber to snake it again.  Turns out he found the blockage and the water is now flowing freely.  My opinion is that after I tore up the basement floor and exposed the pipe, the plumber should have tried to snake it again since I paid nearly $300 for the first visit.  He seemed like he didn't want to deal with it after sending the first guy out with no success.  I spent $99 with another plumber, and now everything is fine.  No drain tile issues or edge drain issues like he was suggesting.  All in all, it didn't seem like they wanted my business.  So I took it elsewhere.
