He only showed up for work occasionally (sometimes with alcohol in his breath), and did only about 30% of the job. At this moment we have no shower, toilet or counter with sinks in our master bathroom, a half bathroom without sink, and another he was going to totally remodel totally unfinished. I had to pay a plumber to fix a drain shoddy job he did with our shower. He repeatedly has been approached asking him to complete the work responding with empty promises to show up the next day or the next week. At times he stated being sick, so once I went to his home and his wife told me he was at work! Other times he complained that his helpers (all inexperienced) were ill too. The most unnerving thing is that when you can get him in the phone (he does not answer calls routinely) he always has an excuse not to work, or he promises to be there at a specific time and date only to not show up at all for weeks at a time so you lose time from your own work while at home waiting for him to come. Yesterday I had to go to the wholesaler to pay for counters, faucets, etc. that he had to pay for but didn't since he already received cash payment for this. At the moment I am proceeding legally. By the way, I am a physician in the area but him or his family are not, and never have been, my patients.
