Although I paid for the best quality topsoil and seed, and while I have an excellent sprinkler system, the yard failed to grow back. Only weeds grew back. After a few weeks, it had obvious patches, and I contacted him then and asked for the type of grass seed.  After another week, it was clear that nothing was growing, other than weeds, and all of the straw would have to be removed and all of the weeds would have to be removed, the soil re-tilled or at least topped and slit-seeded again.  I notified him that his work failed and that it needed attention.  He said that he was in Munising and that he would "be glad to take a look when" he returned the follwing week.  The following week, he said he would call and come over.  He never did.  I had to hire someone else.  This is not a man of his word. No integrity. Lack of communication and responsiveness. And quite possibly: a rip-off artist. That's what I get for shopping on craigslist.
