Received timely quote. Very professional and good recommendations.

I received a prompt call back to describe the job I needed done. The estimate was performed quickly, and shortly afterwards we scheduled a day to have the work done. They arrived on time, got the job done, and cleaned up all of the debris from the trees. I would highly recommend them!

Good luckily. Mr Gordon was the only one of 5 people I called who even bothered to give me a quote. Had to call him twice, but he did come. Another guy I called said he was just too busy to deal with a $50 stump grind. So I said it sounds like the $170 quote I got is good then. He agreed. I called Gordons and was told they’d let me know when he would come. Only really got a day’s notice, called Friday to say he’d come Monday. Luckily I can work from home when needed. Mr. Gordon arrived on time, took care not to damage anything, did the work and cleaned up nicely. He was here maybe 45 minutes.

These people are great. Their price is fair, the show up when they say they will be at your house, they do what you ask for and clean up the mess. I have used Gordon Tree Service three times and have never been disappointed.

The owner supervised two staff and they were done within four hours. They forgot some debris in their clean up. I would have preferred that they break down the large branches rather than pull them through my garden because other plantings were disturbed. If I had them again I would make that specific request.

Great company - very quick to respond, detail oriented and diligent. Mr Gordon came to assess several trees that were leaning over a neighboring property. I was afraid they would have to be cut down, but Mr Gordon assured me that they could be trimmed and saved. He saved me money and my trees! He quoted me on Saturday and the work was done by EOB Monday. Great provider and will use again.

Jim Gordon is responsive, knowledgeable and does fantastic work. I have used a few different tree removal companies this summer, and now will be using Gordon's exclusively. Not only do they provide fantastic tree services, but also provide recommendations even against their own financial interests to maintain healthy trees. Very highly recommended.

My property is a wooded and one side of my house faces a wetland. The trees in the wetland were encroaching onto my yard. Gordon's crew trimmed back the encroaching trees, trimmed the evergreen trees. They also removed an overgrowth of weeds under and around the trees at the front of my property. It was a WHOLE lot of work but Gordon's team did an EXCELLENT job. They shredded all the debris and cleaned up. I will definitely be using them in the future because of the number of trees on my property. I really enjoyed working with them and Mr. Gordon is a very personable person.

They did the tree removal service. We paid $1,200 to have nine trees removed. I would use them again in the future.

I don't get it. I requested an estimate on getting some limbs pruned/removed from trees - primarily maples - that were too close, or touching my roof. The company came out promptly but simply stated on the estimate "Sorry these trees are too difficult for us to prune." I really don't understand it since this is the type of service they advertise as providing. I requested estimates from three other companies and all the rest provided written estimates, prepared to do the job. I live in a small home on a flat plot of land. I'm not sure why my situation is too difficult. It would have been nice if they had provided a more elaborate explanation and/or had been willing to do the work they advertise. I must say, however, that I genuinely appreciate their honesty!! At least they didn't agree to do a job they were not equipped to do.

Everything went well, even better than expected. Mr. Gordon was prompt in answering my phone call, coming to the property and delivering the service. He walked around the property with me and gave helpful suggestions about the trees and shrubs. He took his time and answered my questions, which I really appreciate. I was pleased to learn that a severe pruning would save my redbud, and my dogwood, that seemed half dead, looks so much better after the pruning. He did a good job, and except for the improvement on the property, I hardly knew he had been here because all debris had been removed.

They showed up when promised. Did what they said they were going to do. Cleaned up after they were finished. I have used Gordon Tree & Shrub before and have always been happy with their work and the price they charge.

Great overall experience - Professional, responsive & great quality of work. Jim was able to provide a very competitive quote and complete the job all within a few days. I was not home when the work was being completed, but Jim stayed in contact during and after the job was completed. He also let us know that one of our trees was diseased and provided a referral for a company that could treat it. They also did such a good job cleaning up - it seemed like the trees magically trimmed themselves! I will continue to use Gordon for any of my tree & shrub needs!

I would recommend him highly. We use him annually and he does trimming in the spring of all of our trees and shrubs that need trimming. He is skilled. We have been using him for ten years. He knows what he is doing so does his crew. He is very responsive, very polite, very prompt and trustworthy. The charge depends on the combination of things that he is going to do- he gives you an a detailed estimate. He is competent. However now he is much busier and has got plenty of business so we wait a little longer. Also when he makes a referral for a service that he doesn't provide, he has always referred us to somebody who does quality work. We had a tree stump that needed to be ground and he referred us and everything turned out great.

Went well , all was completed while I was at work. Mr Gordon draws a map of your property identifying everything that needs to be done,including the price of each service.Then the home owner can pick and choose which services need to be completed.This the second time we have contracted with Mr. Gordon and plan to call him again for some large trees that are getting too big.

They arrived on time and did a professional job removing the branches and cleaning up. The only drawback was that there was snow at the time and when it finally melted, we were left with a lot of sawdust and small branches - no fault of the provider, but just an FYI in case you have trees trimmed in the winter.

The Gordon's crew showed up and very quickly and efficiently trimmed up a large crab apple tree to a much more manageable size. They did a good job overall, but I was somewhat disappointed to see a couple of braches that were not trimmed correctly and ended up ripping off the bark of the remaining branch. This is not a healthy condition for the tree and a simple undercut would have prevented this from happening. This is exactly why I hired "professionals", to avoid problems like this, but their quick work did not equal ultimate care for the health of the tree. Overall I am satisfied, just wish I didn't have the ripped bark areas.

I have been using Gordon's Tree and Shrub company since 1994! That in itself says a lot. I cannot say enough good things about the service they provide. Mr. Gordon gives a detailed description of everything that is to be done when providing the estimate. He discusses what I expect and what I like, while making knowledgeable recommendation of his own. What I like most is that he and his crew are aware of what is healthy for maximum tree and shrub health, growth and beauty. I prefer hand pruning of my landscape because it provides such a beautiful natural look. Mr. Gordon is always here when the work is done and closely supervises the others. They take their time, and are extremely particular about meeting my expectations (which I have to admit are rather high). They clean up extremely well afterwards. The best recommendation for this company is that several of my neighbors have called me to ask whom I use for my pruning, trimming and tree removal; and then have proceeded to hire him as well! In addition to the work being exceptional, Mr. Gordan and the other workers are some of the nicest, and helpful people you would want working on your property. It is clear this is more than just a job for them. They really do care about the look and health of the landscape. If I need new trees or shrubs, he will suggest those that will do well in the areas we are planting. After all these years, I feel so comfortable about Mr. Gordon knowing my expectations for how I like things, that I do not even feel the need to be home on the day the work is done, with the knowledge that it will be just fine. Since I am most often home, however, Mr. Gordon will call me out to see how things are, and ask for my input; if they are meeting my expectations. He has also recommended other companies that have the same high level of professionalism as he does, to do other landscape projects. I know I can trust his recommendations. Do not hesitate for a moment to hire this company.
