Countryside Quality Meats did a good job of packaging steaks, roasts, and stew meat into vacuum sealed packaging. We were very disappointed that the ground beef was inaccurately packaged (we ordered them in 1 lb packages). Every one weighed was over 1 lb. Some were 1.33 lbs, 1.25 lbs, 1.27 lbs, etc. This greatly altered our recipes especially those that we doubled. All of the ground beef tubes were over stuffed; not one was even slightly under one pound. This also hurt our savings on getting a beef butchered because more meat was prepared for one meal than what we wanted. Some of the beef soup bones were too long to fit into a stock pot. All family members said that they bit into tiny hard bits of bone which means that the meat was cut too close to the bone. The labeling on the steaks, roasts, and stew meat seemed to be accurate.
