Description of Work: I contracted Glenn Loisel of Safe and Sound Home Inspection to do an inspection on a home I'm buying in Royal Oak, MI. Glenn was very helpful, quick to answer questions, resourceful, and thorough. I found Glenn on the ASHI website. I looked at 5 other inspectors from the website in the Royal Oak area, and chose Glenn after talking to him and getting a feel for his experience and personality. When I arrived, he'd already started on the kitchen and ground floor bathroom, testing the plumbing and checking for leaks. We walked through the house, from the basement to the second floor to the garage then finally to the attic. | |Throughout the entire process he spoke aloud any issues he found or any upkeep a particular part of the house may require. He answered any questions I had, and was very patient with me (as a first-time home-buyer). Any issues he found he would ask me over and show me what the problem is, as well as how to fix it. | |When all was said and done, I paid him in cash and received an inspection report later that night. The inspection report was very thorough, with descriptions, pictures, diagrams, and helpful information about the house. Glenn also provided me with a large, soft-cover book on common issues with houses and how to fix them. | |Safe and Sound was a little more expensive than the other inspectors I talked to, but Glenn seemed more knowledgeable than the others, and the sample report he provided seemed the most thorough and helpful. No regrets here! He did a great job, and I'd gladly hire him again for my next house :)

Description of Work: Glenn inspected the outside before we were even there. Glenn takes several pictures for authentication and explains all the pros and cons of each inspections detail. The inspection was very thorough revealing many problems we did not expect. The total inspection included attic, property, foundation, electrical, plumbing, etc. We would definitely recommend Glenn for future inspections.
