My small porch didn’t even last four years. When I called the owner, he wouldn’t even come to look at it and said, “sorry no guarantees”.

He gave an estimate of $2200, I accepted the job and gave him a $500 down payment via check. After he came back he said it was going to be around $4700. I declined the project due to the cost doubling, which seemed extreme. He told me to read the contract and that he was keeping my down payment. I read the contract and saw he said he would match/beat any other companies pricing. I presented him with two other quotes given from companies and he declined to match these prices.

Until today, September 9, 2012, it went very well. Until today, I thought the quality of the work was good. But today I feel differently.
