We would 100% not recommend this company based on our recent experience. We have completed kitchen, bathroom and laundry room renovations before, so we have experience with other companies and contractors, and they have all been great. We hired Life Construction and Design for a kitchen renovation in 2023. They were extremely disorganized, did not have a good handle on their subcontractors and way over promised/under delivered when it came to design, ability, quality, cost and timelines.

My basement had years of water damage. The cinder block walls were ugly and the orange stained cement floor was a mess. Following a permanent water drainage system I put in place last year, I hired Life Construction & Design to work some magic. And, that they did. They knew exactly what to do in my situation, they coordinated the team of workers, and the quality of the work was superb. It's a remarkable transformation. I also had a sump pump issue post-project completion that caused some water to get under my new floating vinyl floor, and although it wasn't their issue, the team came out and helped me troubleshoot the issue. I was VERY grateful. Yes, I'd hire them again.

It was great! Life Construction has assembled a terrific team. They are very friendly and polite when at our home and very concerned about keeping our home safe and usable during the construction. They wear masks and social distance. They listen very carefully and work hard to be sure they are on the same page as we are. Starting the project was easy and no-contact. It was all online and seamless. Wow. Mike, the owner, was in close contact from Day 1, but it wasn't until the job was more than halfway complete that we met in person or spoke with each other; because Mike was so close to us by text and email that we already felt like we really knew him and his team. I loved that there was no pressure at any time. No hard sell. We were in charge at all times. And the result was exactly what we envisioned. I have never had such a great relationship with such a talented and cohesive team on any project...ever! Kudos to Dan, Rasit, Domnica, Lou, Elijah, Jeff, Matt, everyone!! You'll love Life Construction.

I thought it would be impossible to find someone who would be willing to first come and take a look at the job and then agree to work with me to get this job done. When I found, Life Construction - I was absolutely blown away. We had a unique situation with our covered backyard patio. It needed updates and it needed love and direction. Life Construction worked with me not only by phone and text and email - but they also took the time to come over and walk through all the changes until I was 100% satisfied. They were fair and they were efficient. They made me feel like they had my back through every little thing - and I cannot express the absolute peace of mind it all gave me. I can, without any hesitation, recommend them in the future for any and all construction needs. They are just that good. Thank you.

Overall, I was optimistic that the jobs were going to be completed at a high level, but as the work progressed it seemed that the team was just checking boxes. The work was done sloppily and required further work on our end to repair. There was also damage to carpet in our house that we were looking to keep after the project was completed. Communication was also an issue between days worked and executing what we had requested of the job at hand. In the future, I'd advise a manager and worker to be on the site at the same time of giving the estimate if possible, as well as a follow-up in person from the manager to inspect the final product.

He was notified by one of the homeowners that the carpet that was damaged was going to be removed and no need to protect it, per our usual standard. There seemed to be conflicting information coming from that husband and wife which caused a bit of a communication breakdown. The work was completed within the projected time frame and to 100% completion of the proposal. Additional work was done and not charged as an extra per usual to compensate for the carpet. The clients were pleasant people but there were some communication issues. We will do our part to do better next time. For future work we will give you a 10% discount. All the best, Mike Ely"

I have used Life Construction for a number of jobs for 10+ years. Awesome group to work with. Trustworthy and reliable. They have completed renovated rooms in multiple houses for me including bathrooms, basements, and garages. We are very happy with all of the work. I have used them on 2 homes, all of the work was perfect. The contractors clean up and are a pleasure to have in your home. I will use them for building a garage I have to add. They stick to the amount quoted unless you request changes. Good, hard working team. I highly recommend them.

Mike and his team were efficient, responsive, and professional. The work was done quickly and with complete satisfaction. His crew always cleaned up thoroughly at the end of the day and interacting with them was always pleasant. I liked that Mike would talk through each stage of the project and was very accommodating to make requested adjustments. I would absolutely hire Life Construction & Design for a future project!

After watching a few YouTube videos, I decided to fix the problem of my toilet flapper. While trying to fix it, I cracked the entire toilet bowl and water got into the floor, which caused a leak in the first floor’s ceiling. It was a total nightmare! I called Life construction and design, Mike and his guys fixed everything for me. My toilet bowl was renewed and the ceiling was fixed without any problems. They are definitely life savers. They are dependable, reliable and flexible. I absolutely recommend them to everyone.
