Great Lakes Roofing

I call him and he looked at the roof said it was good for another few years. He said all the caulking was good on the windows. He couldn't find where the leak was coming from. He said that since there are no leaks on the second floor it would not be from the roof. He went on the roof and couldn't find any issues. He fixed my worries about putting on another roof in November. I would definitely call him for another issue.

Great Lakes provided a quote and we set a date. Everyone arrived around 8.30 am and worked until almost noon. Their work looks good, and it is guaranteed. I would use them again.

Great Lakes Roofing did a thorough inspection of the area that was leaking and also went up in the attic to check further. The repair went well and we were very satisfied. Nice Job!

Had complete roof replaced in July 2009. Recently (September 2015) noticed water spots around two recessed lighting fixtures in a little used second story bedroom. I went into the attic and found the affected recessed lighting and removed insulation and looked at the light fixtures and noticed evidence of water marks around the base of the lights. Had Great Lakes Roofing come out to help assess the cause of the water marks. The likely area of the roof was located that could have leaked and Great Lakes removed several shingles carefully to further inspect the area - shingles were in great shape, the underlying felt was in perfect shape and no source of a leak could be found. There was no obvious evidence of water leakage on the top of the attic insulation. The shingles were reinstalled with new nails with the old nail holes sealed completely. Great Lakes Roofing made several phone calls to Techs that could give their opinion on the source of the water marks - one possible source could be that during the last winter super deep freeze (-25 deg. F. in Clarkston for 3 nights) and with the metal recessed lighting fixtures separating the warm humid interior with the very cold attic that some condensation occurred around the affected light fixtures and caused the water marking. The area will be monitored with the next significant rainy weather pattern. If a leak is spotted, Great Lakes Roofing will return and see what can be done. The Great Lakes Roofing Inspector spent at least two hours up in the attic and on the roof ...............NO CHARGE!!!! Besides giving me a very competitive price for the 2009 install and the No Charge service call 6 years later - I highly recommend Great Lakes Roofing!

Initially, there were a few issues due to technical difficulties and complexity of the roof job. After some discussions with GLR team, they came out several times to consult on the technical issues and ultimately resolved every single detail without charging us a ton of extra costs. After all is said and done, James Weiss is not only a fair and honest..... He's helpful and pretty good guy.

The person who I dealt with in the actual bid was nice, friendly and knowledgeable. The price was very good. I got several different bids and theirs was competitive and they brought it down. Overall it was a pretty good experience. They work very quickly and the results were very good. The only thing I would complain about is that we found a lot of pieces of trash and nails in and around the yard.

Everything went well with them. They are a great family ran company with great customer service. They took care of us.

It was excellent. 6 people came out and they got it done in one day. It is an architectural style roof, and it looks very nice. They cleaned up very nicely. Expect really good work and a professional job.

Was a small insurance repair, would have expected them to knock the job out. Nope... They had to be called to return.

It looks like they never done any work for me, which is a good thing. I would use them again.
