Showed up when they would and they did the job well.

Wes Gillette one of the owners of Gillette Brothers Pool is a complete moron. He made numerous promises to me and then fill any of them his employees have broken equipment damage to our property and he promises to fix and doesn’t show up. When you try to talk to him all he does is laugh. I would highly recommend using a different pool company.

This was the last time that we will use Gillette Brothers. Their service has continually declined. This pool opening was horrible. The technician opened the pool in the middle of a lightening and thunder storm. Obviously they were in a hurry due to the weather. We thought that they might return when the weather improved but they did not. The job was done very poorly as we discovered a few days later when the water cleared. There were inches of leaves and grime left in the bottom of the pool. Upon calling the office to report the quality of the work, Gillette Brothers denied all responsibility. They claimed that the service was performed properly and that they would have to charge for another service call to clean it further.
One of their technicians just happened to be next door opening our neighbor's pool at the time of our call. We asked if they would have him come over to look at the quality of the work that was done just a few days prior. Initially they refused and continued to argue that they were not at fault. Finally after much arguing, they agreed to have the technician next door come over. He did so and came to speak with me after cleaning the pool again. He was very apologetic and absolutely assured me that the pool was NOT opened properly. I told him that we wondered because it was done in a thunderstorm and there was only 1/2 a bag of leaves and residue left for the trash. He told me he had just taken 5 full bags of leaves and residue out of our neighbor's pool. He was extremely apologetic and did a good job of resolving the problem. However, we were told by the Gillette Brother's office not to call for their service again. We agreed.
Today we had another company come out to close our pool. We discovered that the plugs for closing the pool were not here. Upon calling Gillette Brothers they told us that they take the plugs as we do not own them. That is an outright lie. The plugs were ours and were here with the house and the pool when we purchased the house. We have always kept a basket of the plugs in the basement when not in use. We assumed that Gillette Brothers had put them with the pool cover in a separate garage in the spring since they were not given to us and not left by the door after the opening. But we discovered today that they stole our plugs to close the pool and now we will have to purchase new plugs to have it closed. The company closing it also has to make a return trip.
We had used Gillette Brothers for about 3 years and the service continually declined. The quality of the work was entirely dependent on the technician, his knowledge and work ethic. Sometimes the work was done well. Other times the service was terrible including technicians that did not even know that we had a salt chlorinated pool. These technicians were adding all kinds of chemicals and chlorine and sending us the bill. We maintained the pool ourselves for the entire season this year and spent next to nothing on chemical maintenance.
The biggest problem with this company is that they fail to accept any responsibility for their errors. The consistency and quality of work greatly varies. When it is sub-par they argue and want to be paid more for follow-up. Customer service and integrity are not their priorities.

They were expensive but they were good. The quality of work was excellent. I appreciated the fact that they did what I asked them to do.

I called to see if they could clean our indoor pool in time for a 7/5/14 party and to get on their weekly service schedule. We just moved into the area and were referred to Gillette by two other local companies. The lady I spoke with was pleasant, professional and said they were pretty well booked for weekly service for the season, but would contact one of the managers about the cleaning in time for the party. I told her they could come anytime-- day or night! The NEXT morning they were out to clean the pool! A friendly and professional team willing to share information about our pool (we are new owners) and how to correctly use equipment and test chemicals as the chlorine was too low and Ph too high. Even though we cannot get on their weekly schedule right away-- we are sticking with Gillette because they are knowledgable, helpful and went out of their way to help us! Thanks so much! LF :)

They came out first thing in the morning Mon 6/23, and did a pressure test ($200) to find where the leak was in my pool. The leak was identified, but he did not have the tools to repair it with him. They came back out first thing the next morning, dug down to the pipes and spliced in a new piece ($175) where the old one was cracked. They were prompt, professional, and pleasant. He was more than willing to answer any and all questions I had. I wish they had a store-front, they would be the only place I would go to for all my pool needs. I will gladly use them again, and recommend them to anyone who needs pool work.
*NOTE - This should have been a more expensive repair, as they charge somewhere between $130-$150 per hour, and the pipe was under a piece of cement. I rented a jackhammer from HD and broke out the concrete myself which took ~2hrs. So when they came to fix the leak, the most time consuming part was done.
The only reason I gave them a and quot;Band quot; for responsiveness was because I had called/emailed once before, and got no response. I had tried to contact 4 different places on the same day, with no response from any of them. When I tried again, Gillette was the only one to answer the phone.

They were prompt, seemed to have good prices and they do good work. I spent about $300. The employees were polite, courteous and they cleaned up as they went along.

THe job went very smoothly, professionally done and with wonderful quality. The technicians that were sent were top notch. They were knowledgeable, very friendly and efficient. I can't remember their names but they were great.

They came and measured, I received a quote a week later and I ordered it a week after that and it was installed in a reasonable time and looks very good.

They were very responsive to my request, they actually got me into their schedule quickly, The repairman arrived at my house around 7 PM (which was fine with me and pre-approved by me). Point is that they work from sun up to sun down to get their customers satisfied. I would highly recommend this company and would not hesitate to use them in the future.

I have also used them before in the past. They were excellent.

These guys are simply the best in the business. Katie and Wes are a dream to deal with. This is a very good, honest and hardworking family business. The few subcontractors they hire are also very good to deal with. The quality they deliver is second to none. Our pool construction was a bit challenging because it is such a small area and close to our home. They did a magnificent job with the quality and care to not damage other things. I am extremely happy with GILLETTE BROTHERS POOL and SPA, Jake and a co-worker worked on fixing leaks in my pool system that have been causing me to lose 1-2 inches of water in my in-ground pool about every 4 hours of pump use. At least 2 other pool companies have looked at the same situation and were unable to properly diagnose or fix the problems that these 2 found and showed me - all minor cost fixes. 1 problem was in one of the pumps - I asked so now I need to replace the pump (and Jake told me no, the part costs little and only a little labor will install it). So for less than 1/2 the price of the other guys even making a service call my problem is fixed - and I just called them for the 1st time yesterday! Things went right from the start when I called in, just yesterday!!! Peggy came on the line, handled me politely, efficiently, she spoke in a well-informed way about how to proceed with this situation, and I was off the phone smiling in about 5 minutes! This was the opposite of the almost universally poor way the other Pool Companies I've dealt with over the last 20 years of my pool owenership! I am totally sold on Gillette Bros Pool and Spa - I believe you will be too if you try them.

My overall experience with them has been good. I will continue to use their services in the future.

We have been using Gillette Brothers for many years now and have never had a problem. They keep their schedule and take care of what ever is required. Set-ups, repairs, cleaning, closing. Everything on time and in perfect shape. When ever we have a question, the answer comes on the spot. And the repair or solution as well.

WE HAVE USED THIS COMPANY MANY TIMES. THEY ARE KNOWLEDGEABLE AND FAMILIAR WITH OUR SYSTEM. THEY ARE PERSONABLE AND FRIENDLY. WE LIKE THE FACT THAT THEY ARE A LOCAL COMPANY.
