The service was free of charge because I had been a member of the credit union for a long time. I don't have anything that I don't like about them. We do a lot of banking through them. I have been banking with them for about 33 years and my husband has been banking with them longer than that. My business account is with them because they have the most reasonable rates for business accounts. I wish they are open on Sundays but they are not.

We chose Genisys Credit Union after my husband and I got married. They have been incredibly friendly and helpful every time I need to speak with anyone. There are a lot of fee-free ATMS in Metro Detroit as well.
The only small issues that I've had to get used to (after moving away from a big bank) are the Bill pay is slightly slower (takes a couple of days rather than a next-day transfer). And there aren't as many locations to deposit money as some of the big banks, especially after hours where a lot of the shared Credit Union branches still require envelopes but none are available. To be clear these have NOT been Genisys locations.
We really like that you can seperate out your savings into as many mini (you name it) savings accounts as you want. This lets us save for Holiday shopping or that big-ticket item we want!
