"I wish that this member would have described what they had us out to repair...I checked with our salespeople and no one had any recall of this issue. If it was for a roof repair...we generally do not do that type of repair as we cannot guarantee it. What we can guarantee is a fabulous job done by our company. We have worked for this customer a few times in a couple of different homes and we value the relationship that we value the relationship that we have nurtured with them.. We value our customers as we realize that your business puts food on our tables and clothes on our backs. Our thanks to all of you is to find the most professional people to work on your homes as we know that that will be your most largest investment that you can make. We have choosen to go with the most skilled trades which usually means paying more for your jobs...but that also means the most satisfaction with your home improvement. You all are our livelihood and we recognize that. If there is ever an issue with anything taht we have done (or quoted), please contact us either via Email or by phone (248) 528-1920....I will be happy to discuss anything with you as I am one of the owners....ask for Mat Vivona and see the response. Post it here, if you so choose...we have a Facebook page that continues to gow and a customer base that is expanding by the day. We do make mistakes.....the difference is that we show up to correct them when we need to...it is our way to continue to prove ourseleves as the number one remodeling company in our area. I guarantee complete satisfaction with your project. Thanks you for hearing our side of this report."
Let me begin this next paragraph and talk about the after work clean up. It was as if they were never there. I even joked with the crew about their prep work, stating it looked like a clean room you'd see in the computer or hospital industry. No kidding folks it was as if they were never there.
In closing, the estimator was on time, polite and very knowledgable.
If something changed the estimate, he explained it and put it all in writing. Father and Son isn't going to be your cheapest estimate, but folks, you get what you pay for, and they stand behind it.........and I even got a Christmas card! Thanks again and I'll be calling you soon for another job.
"Thank you for your kind words regarding the experience that you recently had with our company. You were a pleasure to work with and we value you business. May your new Air Conditioners keep you cool in these hot summer months! We appreciate your patronage!"
The best part of the project was my closet in the master bedroom. That turned out just fine, but everything else was a disappointment.
"Responding to this 11 year old report is challenging at best. We shred all of our files after 8 years to protect our client's information. Given that this job was done 11 years ago, I had hoped that some of our personnel may shed light on it. The Supervisor of this project left in 2006 and the salesperson retired at the end of last year. We were able to find an old computer record of this job in our archives. At the time that this job took place, we had a backlog of remodeling projects so we decided to branch out and hire another Rough Carpentry crew. We interviewed them, checked their references, and looked at their workmanship. Everything seemed to check out. Even with all of the safeguards in place, they fell short of our expectations and we parted ways after this project. Unfortunately, this does little to repair any bad feelings that this member has for our company. I am interested in the "changes" that came about. We have always had a long standing policy that any changes in a project must be approved in writing by the homeowner and the company. The only exception would be a Building Code that necessitates a change to the project. Also, this project would have required a Blueprint which would have been signed at the time of the plan review (preconstruction). 11 years have gone by since we were at this project so there is little that could be done to rectify an injustice. Had we known about this in a timely manner, we could have done everything within reason to address the situation. We encourage feedback (positive or negative) so that we can continue to exceed a customer's expectations. Fortunately, we do receive a lot more positive than negative feedback, but we take it all to heart. Thank you for taking the time to read our response to this report."
