They are not able to do outside work. The grade was not leveled. They put down topsoil to bring up the grade but did not compact it so now there are big pot holes everywhere you step. I tripped several times trying to walk across the area. It is like quicksand and your foot sinks into the sod and dirt.
They thought they would put sod down to raise the grade. However, they just laid the new sod right over the old sod.
The drain was placed at the highest point on the area not anywhere near the lowest point so it could catch and remove the water.
What they did only caused a new problem making another window which never leaked start leaking .
This caused carpeting in the basement to get soaked.
They did not like the idea of me watching the work.
At this point I felt it necessary because the Air conditioner was not leveled, the sod was on top of other sod and the catch basin was up in the wrong place which I pointed out. Greg assured me that it would work.
I was skeptical and made him sign a note on the original contract stating that if the basement leaked after this he would come back and make it right.
Sure enough when it rained 2-3 days later there was a foot of water standing in the yard and both windows were leaking.
When I called to tell him about this his response was. I did my job..
