One guy cleaned the furnace and seemed to do a good job. The other guy (Chris) looked at the humidifier. He said it was working and replaced the filter. I asked why I would be charged for two services (because just changing a filter was something I could have done) and he said he would now just charge for the furnace cleaning. That seemed fair but I don't know what they would have charged if I was not down there watching?? I tried to learn about our humidifier and how it works (since my husband was at work) while they were there and Chris seemed to know what he was talking about....But that was not the case. He said we needed a new humidistat after then doing what I thought was a more thorough job of looking it over. But after they left I looked into prices elsewhere and found out I didnt actually need a new one I just needed a manual mode piece. I put the piece in myself, removed the sticker which was on wrong (he said it was on right) and put the dial back on correctly ( since he put it on wrong). It works just fine now. I called to ask him why he did not do all of those things (or at least advise me to) and he didnt have an answer. It made no sense to my why I did the work he is supposed to know. His response was and quot;sorryand quot;. Not good enough. Will not be using this company again. If I had not done my homework I would have just replaced my old humidistat unnecessarily and would never know that I was misinformed by a and quot;professionaland quot;.
