Well, the computers have new hard drives. However, Jared apparently got the two computers confused because he failed to restore (on the new hard drive) the non-email files that were on one of the computers. These included audio files transferred from cassettes (a project which has to be done in "real time") and treasured photographs, most - but not all - of which were (fortunately) backed up elsewhere. We attempted to contact him via phone, email and snail mail. We were courteous and honest about both the good work he had done and the most recent problem. We have never received a response. I did notice that he "unfriended me" on Face Book!

"This customer had never backed up her hard data. When she called, I explained that the drive had gone bad and the information may not be recoverable. For the total of $120, I installed a new drive, reinstalled Windows, recovered the majority of the data, and traveled 45 minutes each way. After spending another 7 hours (unbilled) attempting to recover the data for this customer, I had to inform her that any further attempts would be performed by a data recovery company and would cost more than $2000. The customer kept calling and I had to stop responding since she wouldn't accept my professional opinion. All of the clients equipment was left with her so she could take the equipment to another vendor and get a second opinion."

HORRIBLE! I wouldn't recommend him to ANYONE! He pretty much stole my computer and sold it over the internet without my permission. He was extremely unprofessional. He made promises to get back with me and never did. He told friends and family members he refused to give my computer back and it was going on the internet. Even after several friends and family told him we didn't want the computer sold and to call us PLEASE so we could talk about it he refused. Jared never returned my calls or e-mails then without my permission sold my computer. We had spoke once about POSSIBLY selling the computer for at least $250-300 at the least but we never gave him permission to actually put the computer up. He sold it for less than the amount we originally spoke about. Jared refused to communicate with us to speak about the issue. We had to get the police involved but it wasn't worth the price of taking him to court. He decided on his own that he would take 30% of the final amount and I ended up getting less for the computer than I paid for it less than 6 months ago. The computer wasn't even 6 months old and I stayed out over night to purchase the computer because of the deal I was getting on it. Jared Chimovitz had no reason to do what he did and he is very unprofessional. I wouldn't recommend him to anyone even my worse enemy. We called so many times. We even went over to his house to see if we could handle the situation in person and he wouldn't answer the door although he was home. We had others call, we e-mailed him asking him to please just give us our computer back because we never gave him permission to sell it. He spoke with a friend instead of getting back with us himself and said there's no way he's taking it off the internet and we aren't getting our computer back no matter what.

"This client called me after contacting another computer company and they couldn't repair the issue. After repairing the computer the first time and the client verifying everything was working, I billed the client and left. The second time I was called the client claimed the same problem however no symptoms were able to be duplicated. After the 3rd visit, I informed the client that if she wasn't happy with the computer, she could sell it and purchase a new computer. The client then asked me to sell it for her which I did. After the client cashed the check from the sale, she started to complain. The client had a male call me and berate and threaten me. I calmly advised the male that I would be happy to discuss the situation with him if he calmed down. The male started yelling again and I informed him I was ending the call. I am not sure what "rating company" this client called however I did not receive a call at any time regarding ratings. I have never sold a bootleg version of any program as my Microsoft Certifications would surely be at risk if I did. The customer never stated they had an issue with any software I provided. While difficult customers do arise, I have always treated them with respect. This particular client unfortunately wasn't going to be satisfied with anything that was done."

They did a great job of fixing my computer. My computer had been very slow for some time now and they came in and helped me out with the hard drive cleanup. I really liked the fact that they came in and secured my wi-fi connection. I would recommend these guys highly.

I would definitely hire Jared again. First of all, most companies that offer to come to your home charge over $100 just to come out. He arrived on time, was professional, courteous, and very patient as the music files took a long time to transfer. I felt the price was more than fair compared with other companies I checked, and I also used a 10% off Angie's list coupon.

Jared was neat and orderly and cleaned up everything he had used. We were very impressed with how easily we could understand what he was describing unlike other computer technicians that we have met. Again we would have happily paid double for Jared to be here (he wouldn't let us pay more than the bill).

Jared was punctual, friendly and able to grasp exactly what I needed to learn. He sensed my frustration and kept trying to break down each step simply for me to understand. He even left me with a "cheat sheet" that I can refer back to at any time. I did find his pricing a little high after speaking with some of my friends that also used tutors.
