AUTO-LAB OF TROY

I had to take my car to another local shop and found out that several screws were never put in place and I had to pay for new parts.  The result, a great working heater.

I have been taking all three of my cars ranging in years from 1970-2001 to Auto Lab in Troy since August 2010 and have received excellent service every time.  I have never had to take a car back to have a repair redone.  The technician there, Mark, is a master mechanic who can diagnose and repair pretty much anything you can throw at him.  He takes his time to get it right, but is not slow and is particularly good at working with classic and muscle cars.  Glen, the service manager, is knowledgeable, works with me to get a good price, and always makes sure I am happy with the service I receive.  While on the surface, this repair shop is part of a large chain, the service is always personal and personable.  It's hard to find a mechanic you can trust and I won't go anywhere else.
A day after writing this original review, I found my car leaking coolant.  I called the shop in the morning to tell them I was coming and dropped the car off after 10am.  I could hear the water pump making noise.  Scott was the mechanic on duty and he diagnosed and had the car fixed by 5pm the same day.  I don't know where else you can get service like this in basically half a day with no advance appointment.  Not all of my repairs have gone as quickly, but some have and I was impressed yet again today by the quality and timeliness of the service I received.
