I had bad experience with Trenton Jewelers.  He appraised my ring for $1000 cheaper or $1500 cheaper or something.   He told me not to take it anywhere else.  He employed 3 people that are accredited to do appraisals and that was him.  Then there was another one, but I took it to the one that he exactly told me to go to.  They did $1500 more as far as my appraisal went and just felt I was trapped.  He told once it is appraised the insurance company will go to the lowest appraisal anyway.   They will send me around to get the best price and they will go with the lowest one.  My insurance reputation had AAA so that is definitely not true and they do not go with the lowest one.  They are going to give what I had my ring appraised for, if it is appraised for a higher value than the last one.  I checked my new appraisals and they accepted it and they got rid of the old one that the Trenton Jewellers gave me.  I still felt I was trapped into and giving into the same price.  My ring was appraised 20 years ago for more money than what they were saying.  He was not professional, he pretty much downgraded the other jeweler right in front of his customers, and I don’t think that is professional at all.
