HARDCORE EPOXY FLOOR CO

Initially the floor looked beautiful.  We followed the owner's instructions to the letter after the floor was completed and did not even set foot in the garage for several days even after the "do not walk on" instruction period was over. For the first couple of months, we couldn't believe how wonderful the floor looked. Unfortunately, shortly thereafter we began to see bubbling in the epoxy coating. We called the owner and he eventually returned to look at it. I say eventually because we found out quickly that he is the sole owner and worker, and if he's too busy working on another project, then others needing attention like ours will be handled if and when he has time. After multiple calls, he came out and assessed the issue.  He did return to sand the bubbling areas -- which were increasing in number over time, and recoated them. When he did, the epoxy didn't match and the corrected areas stood out from the rest of the floor.  In addition, he applied the wrong decorative fleck upon completion, and we had large spots in our garage that didn't match. We took issue with this approach, and requested that he resand the entire two slabs were the bubbling was occurring so the large garage floor would match. He pushed back against this approach and there were a lot of back and forth telephone calls where we had to demand he stand behind the job he did. Again - it took multiple calls before he returned to try and rectify the problem. He finally did what we asked.

A few months went by, and to our horror, the bubbling of the epoxy began all over again throughout the garage.  Multiple spots have now peeled and flaked off all over our garage, and the floor now officially looks terrible. Our garage looks like it was a "do it yourself" job rather than something that was done by a professional.

The warranty he provided is for 3 years.  However, he was quick to tell us our problem is due to "hydro static pressure due to Mother Nature" and is not covered by the warranty.  This is an unacceptable answer.  We live in a new subdivision where many homeowners have successfully had their garage floors coated with no issue.  We simply chose the wrong company to secure for this process.

The owner's lack of professionalism when dealing with us was eye opening and disappointing. The burden rested with us to continually call him to come back.  When we did reach him, there were multiple times we were told he was too busy to address it and we were placed on the back burner. This is a very unprofessional and bad example of customer service.

Some of my neighbors have inquired about the name of the contractor we used to have our garage coated since they knew we had the work done. We will never refer them, or anyone else, to Hardcore Epoxy.  It was a horrible and "lesson learned" experience we don't want anyone else to have to endure.
