We were extremely happy with Greg. We had another company hired to do the job but ended up firing them. Greg came in, priced the job $1000 cheaper AND did more than the previous company would have done. His integrity showed when he gave us money back because we had purchased a cheaper shower head than he had planned for. I will call him whenever we need anything else done.

The crew did great work. The kitchen looks fabulous, I'm very happy with the job. Opening the staircase to attic to give our small living room a bigger look, the staircase looks like it was always there.

Greg was professional, agreeable, value-conscious, and hard-working.

Greg did a fantastic job with our remodel project. His quote was very competitive, even more so when you realize the fact that he included sanding/refinishing of the existing oak flooring in the kitchen; two other contractors never even mentioned the fact that we would likely expose unfinished flooring when the old cabinetry was removed... Greg's was the voice of experience talking, to be sure! When we asked how much it would be to add new flooring into the family room (not part of the original project), Greg gave us a great quote and ended up coming in under the expected amount. He was excellent to work with, and crew was awesome, too! The best recommendation I can provide is to say that we've already arranged for him to remodel our main bathroom in August.

He kind of started off okay and then it turned into kind of a crappy situation.  He ended up having some problems but he was complaining and kind of throwing a fit about it and it wasn't anybody's fault.  He was going to go up in the attic to do some cleaning and he had some guy with him, Harry, who which Harry was just brash.   He was upstairs with my husband because he was in the attic and I was downstairs with Greg and he was bitc#ing about Greg the whole time he was upstairs with my husband.  He was loud and boisterous.  After he finished everything then he goes if you want anything else done just give me a call cause I can give you a good price and I have already been out here.  So a couple of weeks later my husband calls and says, hey you know we wanted to have this done and he goes, I can't help you, I don't have time to help you just like that.   It was just a kind of odd situation.  So I was like well we're not going to have him back then. 

I opted not to use him at this point in time. He was timely in his design provision. There was no additional cost on top of the $49.95 Big Deal cost. He gave me the design within two to three weeks after I purchased the Big Deal. We had some issues trying to reach each other so I felt he was still timely. I liked him. I do not know if I would use him again in the future.

He was excellent. He went over and beyond the reconstruction of our home and was confronted with many problems, but assured me each issue would be corrected. Greg and his crew were very friendly and timely in their work schedule. I would highly recommend him.

Great Job, On Time and Under budget! We took several bids before choosing someone and Greg's bid seemed the most organized and detailed and he was willing to take us through each step of the process with a flexibility to be able to work with any request we had. He was so helpful and willing to assist us with every decision from where we could find different styles of tiles to choose from and if we wanted different colors or styles of toilets and tubs, he knew it all. While on the job, Greg and his crew were very careful to ensure nothing outside the area was disrupted or disturbed, carefully removing pictures and such from outside walls, hanging plastic and even sweeping the house afterwards every day. They even took care of our dog every day petting her and letting her out when she wanted to go and spoiling her! Greg promised us the job would be done within 3 weeks and despite all our crazy requests, he really got it done on time and under budget! His flexibility and knowledge was able to give us the perfect bathroom we had been dreaming of and we are so happy we found him. We will be calling him again next time we have a project and would highly recommend him to all of our friends!

Everything went smoothly and efficiently. Mr Buhr showed up at the scheduled time, performed the work as we had previously discussed within the expected time frame. The column support was installed well and we have experience no degeneration or issue.
Note that the date of service is inaccurate. It was at some point last fall but I cannot find a specific record of that date and this system will not allow me to put in something general.

Greg exceeded my expectations. He came in the door ready to work. I need to say that I have been in my house for 22 years and most everything is original. I had already bought the materials before he came. He had to improvise because I had not bought everything I was supposed to or I had bought the wrong thing. He jumped right in and said no problem I can make this work. He made everything work. Greg is a true professional and I will use his services again in the future. He was very polite and my dog can't wait for him to come back. Thank you Greg.

Greg is one of the most professional construction managers we have met.  He accurately bids a job both on cost and on time.  Greg and his crew's craftsmanship and work is superb, paying close attention to completing a job thoroughly and not cutting any corners.  His team keeps the place clean and tidy and thus are well liked by the jobsite neighbors.  He is well versed is City codes and thus inspections go smoothly.  Greg has completed several jobs for us and we have been pleased with every one of them.

Greg push back the date several times before he began work.  There were days that I suspect he was doing other jobs because there was minimum work done. Came home early one day and no one was at my home working.  When demo began nothing was cover or plastic walls put up until I complained and start covering myself.  My television, furniture (sofa, chairs, tables) kitchen stove, microwave, pots and pans were covered with thick layers of dust.  He took my furniture from one bedroom (that I used as a den) covered with dust and haphazardly threw my furniture in the basement. My 2nd level Items were again haphazardly thrown in closets. Because of the dust and the haphazardly throwing of my furniture my cable, internet, and WiFi was out for 8 days and had to be replace with new modem and wiring.  Internet wiring in basement could not be repaired.  Thank God for WiFi.

He constantly told me that the project was costing more than he expected.  I asked again and again for him to give me an update which he didn't until I forced him to give me an update. Once up dated I was near my budget and I had them complete whatever was in process and not start anything else.

My neighbor complained about profanity and loud music.  When I told Greg did talk with his men and no more complaints.

On several occasion my windows was left open in which one was expose to the street which could have been broken into.  On one of the occasion I open the bathroom door and a bird had came into the house it took me almost 2 HOURS to get it out. I AM STILL IN AUGUST TRYING TO PUT MY HOUSE BACK IN ORDER

ON THE POSITIVE SIDE:  The work in my 2 bathrooms, kitchen, den, and floors was EXCELLENT.  Every thing looks great.  They remove all of the demo cleaned up the outside.

Because of all the problems it over shadow the outcome of the project.  Greg was the lowest bidder out of 5 contractors.  I guess you get what you pay for.

This has been a horrible experience, so far.  This company could be where all of the negative stereotypes about builders come from.  
It took 3 days to strip the roof and shingle our 22 x 22 garage.  It took another 4 days for the siding on the same garage.  When the boss leaves, which happens frequently, the workers don't seem to get much done.  
They did manage to get the old ceramic tile out in 1 day, but we're now on day 2 of getting the new tile down.  Maybe they'll manage to get that done in another 2 days.  They came this morning, moved our stove and fridge out of the kitchen, then left.  The grout can't take more than another 2 days, right?
They haven't started on the stairs or dryer vent yet.  We're at about 3 weeks so far.  They've been MIA several days, working on other jobs that they are apparently having the same issues with.
Oh, on day 1 they said they didn't want to work on the garage with our cars in there.  They decided to take it over, and it took 2 weeks to get it back.  During this time, they asked if they could put their drinks in our upright freezer that's kept in the garage.  They left it open.
All of these days that I've listed are just the days that they have worked, many of which have been 1/2 days.  I didn't add the days that they didn't show up.
This is my 1st review here.  I hope I'll be able to come back and add details.  I'm sure there will be more.

Greg and his employees are very thorough.  Every day the work area was left neat.  Greg even fed our cats when we were to be gone overnight!  This is a small construction but they are giving us the attention as if they were doing a huge job.  The work is close to being done but I wanted to give a review now.  You won't be sorry if you have work done by Greg Buhr Construction.

Overall we were happy with Greg Buhr Construction's services. There was nothing that particularly sticks out. They were very personable and completed the job. It wasn't phenomenal, but it wasn't terrible. It was good.

We asked five contractors to quote our huge project.  Greg came out right away and provided a quote within a week.  Of the other four contractors we asked to quote, two said the work was too difficult for them, one never followed up with a quote, and the remaining one provided a quote that was much higher.  So we reviewed some of Greg Buhr's completed work, then we hired him.  Greg and his two man team were here almost every day from the start until completion 9 weeks later.  They got the work done so fast.  They worked quickly and efficiently, and did an excellent job.  Greg knows how to keep costs down while providing quality work.  During the work, they put up plastic sheets every day and a temporary wall in the kitchen to minimize dust in our living space. They swept with a broom at the end of each day.  Greg was confident and capable.  He figured out how to create a high vaulted ceiling in the family room without touching the roofline, when the other contractors bidding said they couldn't create as high of a ceiling or they would have to raise the roof to create it.  The only work we were initially unhappy with was the subcontracted electrical work, but Greg made sure all those issues were corrected.  The final price was higher than the bid because we asked for additional work, and the ceiling vault took more hours than anticipated and Greg let us know it would cost more.  The final price was a fair price and still much lower than the other bid we got.  Overall, Greg and his team provided quality work at a good price, got the job done quickly, and showed up almost every day.  It’s hard to get that all in a contractor.  We will definitely be hiring Greg and his team again in the future.   We did make sure to have myself or my spouse available almost every day to check on the work as it progressed, which made us available to answer questions and allowed us to double check on the details of each step, and critique the work before moving to the next task.
