Greg Buhr Construction
About us
In business over 20 years I not only sell jobs but on the job daily working with my crew and subcontractors. I do not allow unqualified persons to work on projects and keep a direct communication with my customers. They call me to get any questions or concerns answered and not have a bunch of people doing work with no direction that were hired for that job. Big companies have that problem.

"I am concerned that people ask for things and when I do the job they seem to be satisfied even though they expect a lot but can see their simple request turn into major problems due to the condition of the job. I was honest to them provided a job that they said they were satisfied. I could not return when they wanted me so I was honest rather than lead them on"
Note that the date of service is inaccurate. It was at some point last fall but I cannot find a specific record of that date and this system will not allow me to put in something general.
"I continued remodeling houses for almost 2 years and enjoyed the work which involved total remodeling the homes for new tenants the company is in business to do. I completed approximately 8 homes."
Greg push back the date several times before he began work. There were days that I suspect he was doing other jobs because there was minimum work done. Came home early one day and no one was at my home working. When demo began nothing was cover or plastic walls put up until I complained and start covering myself. My television, furniture (sofa, chairs, tables) kitchen stove, microwave, pots and pans were covered with thick layers of dust. He took my furniture from one bedroom (that I used as a den) covered with dust and haphazardly threw my furniture in the basement. My 2nd level Items were again haphazardly thrown in closets. Because of the dust and the haphazardly throwing of my furniture my cable, internet, and WiFi was out for 8 days and had to be replace with new modem and wiring. Internet wiring in basement could not be repaired. Thank God for WiFi.
He constantly told me that the project was costing more than he expected. I asked again and again for him to give me an update which he didn't until I forced him to give me an update. Once up dated I was near my budget and I had them complete whatever was in process and not start anything else.
My neighbor complained about profanity and loud music. When I told Greg did talk with his men and no more complaints.
On several occasion my windows was left open in which one was expose to the street which could have been broken into. On one of the occasion I open the bathroom door and a bird had came into the house it took me almost 2 HOURS to get it out. I AM STILL IN AUGUST TRYING TO PUT MY HOUSE BACK IN ORDER
ON THE POSITIVE SIDE: The work in my 2 bathrooms, kitchen, den, and floors was EXCELLENT. Every thing looks great. They remove all of the demo cleaned up the outside.
Because of all the problems it over shadow the outcome of the project. Greg was the lowest bidder out of 5 contractors. I guess you get what you pay for.
"Customer was very happy when we left."
It took 3 days to strip the roof and shingle our 22 x 22 garage. It took another 4 days for the siding on the same garage. When the boss leaves, which happens frequently, the workers don't seem to get much done.
They did manage to get the old ceramic tile out in 1 day, but we're now on day 2 of getting the new tile down. Maybe they'll manage to get that done in another 2 days. They came this morning, moved our stove and fridge out of the kitchen, then left. The grout can't take more than another 2 days, right?
They haven't started on the stairs or dryer vent yet. We're at about 3 weeks so far. They've been MIA several days, working on other jobs that they are apparently having the same issues with.
Oh, on day 1 they said they didn't want to work on the garage with our cars in there. They decided to take it over, and it took 2 weeks to get it back. During this time, they asked if they could put their drinks in our upright freezer that's kept in the garage. They left it open.
All of these days that I've listed are just the days that they have worked, many of which have been 1/2 days. I didn't add the days that they didn't show up.
This is my 1st review here. I hope I'll be able to come back and add details. I'm sure there will be more.
"This customer had a wonderful wife who saw what we did. The garage was a real mess requiring a lot of structural work as well as a new attached shed. We fould brick falling off the house..not part of the job and had it fixed. They had 4 cars we had to work around and no room to park I requested they be moved so there would be no damage plus we needed a place for the materials and could not store in the yard because of lots of poop. The weather delayed us as well as the 2 large dogs which we worked around including the massive poop. I doubt if this man would ever be happy. His car got a flat he said. I am not sure where it happened but he put his car in the garage before we did a complete clean up. I had to stain and seal the new oak stairs for free or he was going to sue me. I enjoyed working for the family and tried to make them happy. They told me they were satisfied when I left."
"Another wonderful customer I am proud to help"
