Auto Sales
$3,000
vfi inspected the vehicle twice before signing their contract. during my second inspectiion i noticed that the door key didnt open the trunk. i asked the salesman to have his mechanic fix it. when he was finished he got into the vehicle and forced the door key into the ignition and forced it to turn until it broke and was hanging by a wire. i told the salesman that it needed to be repaired at their cost. the repair order was written into the contract and i signed. for two days i heard nothing so i called. he said the new ignition switch would be in the following day. now for the prior three days my key wouldnt come out of the ignition and would only shut off as far as accessory mode. i had to jump my car during this period and i was concerned about my battery. i stated my concerns to the salesman and he asked me why i hadnt just disconnected the battery terminal. my thought at that moment was that if their incompetant mechanic hadnt broken my car there would be no need for that but i remained polite. the mechanic replaced the whole ignition and said it worked great. he even showed me repeatedly. i left and got to a gas station a mile down the road and to my amazement my ignitionswitch wasnt working and the key wouldnt come out. i left a message with the general manager of the dealership. she called me back promptly and said she would look into it. she called me back and said i would be receiving a call from the warranty department. two days later i called the warranty department. apparently she was just too busy to call me. in two days im going to an offsite mechanic that they are sending me to at their cost. the warranty dept said they would also authorize the mechanic to test my battery and replace it if necessary. we will see. dont waste your time, gas, or money on this dealership.
