Rick Severs was amazing. He was the best contractor I have ever worked with. He was kind, and professional and extremely good at his job. He was in control of the entire job even when he had to use subcontractors for electric, drywall, etc. If something wasn't right, he would fix it without complaint and he made sure everything was done perfectly. I would hire him again in a minute and have come to respect and truly like this fabulous contractor. You will NOT be disappointed in his work or in him. 100% happy!

Father and Son great to work with. Timely. Quality of work was excellent. The painter recommended by them proved unacceptable in that the 'bid' was quite high. We used another professional painter at a savings of greater than 50% of what the painter recommended bid.

I would recommend them. I like that they are detailed and they did a good job. When I got the estimate, it was very thorough and detailed and also it was always done very neatly and a clean job. It looks good.

I would (and will) hire Rick again to work on our home improvement needs. Rick handled everything with knowledge, good workmanship, professionalism, caring, etc. He was always on time, always up front about things and very easy to talk to. This was our first venture into a major home improvement, and we had a lot of questions. Rick was always both willing and able to answer our questions. I was due to have our second baby at the beginning of September and Rick knew I wanted this project completed before then - if at all possible. Everything that depended on Rick, was completed. (Things dependent on my husband and I making up our minds - not so much - hence the November completion date.)
We're very happy with our finished basement, with the quality, the aesthetics, etc. For me, when I read these reviews, it always speaks volumes if the homeowner is willing to rehire. As I mentioned above, I would definitely rehire Rick. As I was typing this review, my husband asked what I was doing. I told him I was finally finishing the review for Bay Ridge Development on Angie's List. He was happy I was finally doing this review (yes, I know it's over a year old), but more importantly, he instantly stated that we need to call Rick to start working on....and began listing multiple projects. I think that says it all.

Rick was extremely reliable, responsive, reasonable and punctual. The drywall finishers did a terrific job as did the electrician. We were very pleased with the finished project and would highly recommend Rick.

All of the work Rick did was excellent, and very reasonably priced (and it was right on with the estimate he had given) - and the finished job looks wonderful (I just have to paint to finish it up). He was very willing to work with my concerns, and flex as I added a few more things to the job, or changed how I wanted something done. He was also informative when I asked him questions about other things I was working on around the house.
I really liked working with him - he has a really nice, calm, grounded demeanor, and was always pleasant to be around. He feels honest, reliable, and trustworthy, and is very professional and respectful - he clearly takes his work and clients seriously and wants to do a good job for them. He responded to emails and phone calls promptly, and showed up when he said he would. He also came over when the sub-contractors were here, to make sure they got launched correctly, and checked in to make sure they did a good job.
I will definitely call on him again in the future when I have other jobs that need to be done.

Everything was great, he kept in touch through out the whole project and when he said he would be there he was. It was a pleasure to work with him and his staff. Thanks

The job of rebuilding the deck went very well. The weather was in turn, very humid or rainy, but Rick worked around it well.

Rick (owner) was very professional, yet friendly. He kept his appointments with us and always let us know if he would be late. His work ethic was outstanding. We had no deadlines to meet and as busy as he was, he fit out smaller job in and maintained a high quality of workmanship.

Rick did a lot of the work himself. His workers were polite and always cleaned up after themselves.

Rick was fantastic. He did a great job. He was very flexible. He rolled with the changes that we wanted to make or with things we decided to add. He keeps the job site clean and is very organized. He was very professional.

We bought a 4-year-old foreclosed house and had all this work done before we moved in. It took about six weeks which I thought was very quick considering the amount of work that was done. In addition to the work Bay Ridge Development did, we also had every room re-carpeted once they were done. Rick and his crew were very neat and professional. He does very meticulous work and we get compliments on the trim every time we have company. Not kidding! I would recommend him with absolutely NO hesitation! If you're looking for somebody honest, reliable, dependable, reasonably priced, and professional, then Bay Ridge Development is the one to call!
