Did a nice job cleaning up water soaked areas but was obviously working very closely with the insurance adjuster. Took great offense to me asking for his repair estimate to be sent to me directly NOT insurance adjuster. Owner then informed me that he would NEVER do any work for me. Very unprofessional

The deconstruct/dry out piece was pretty good. They were knowledgeable about the process and potentially issues. Kept us informed about progress.
However, the reconstruction piece was laborious. It took many weeks to get that process started. Their subcontractors for the kitchen cabinets was incompentent and had little to offer. We had to drive an hour from our full time home (3 hours from the recontruction site) to select flooring. Painters were far less than meticulous. And the project was delivered later than requried.

Fortunately, the water was discovered the weekend before I had a trip scheduled.I called my carpet cleaner to extract the water, but when I found that the whole thing was more involved, I called my insurance agent. I decided to switch to Servpro, as I thought they had more experience with restoration.
They arrived immediately and were very professional, setting up equipment. They even came back on Sunday to check on the drying process. Since I caught the water immediately, there were no problems with mold or stains beyond what could be covered by the new baseboards. I gave them a key to put in a lockbox they provided, and happily went on my week's vacation.
When I returned everything was dry, but the whole lower level was in a big mess with everything moved around and off the wall. I wondered why they had not started the restoration. Later, I learned that this is all done in a two step process. 1. Move everything and dry up everything, then let everything sit until all the bills are paid. (Good thing it was a guest bedroom and no one had to move out). 2. After the insurance pays and you pay the deductible, THEN you can decide if you want them to put the mess back together. I did. THEN, you get to wait again until the insurance pays at least half or more before they will proceed. I suppose this is standard procedure, but the house was messed up for just over a month before the work was finally finished. Meanwhile, I never got my key back, even after asking five times for it. So I had to have the house rekeyed. The manager agreed to reimburse me for this cost and apologized for not returning the key.
The subcontractors Servpro used to do the restoration work were good and completed the job in a timely manner once they were called to start on it. I think they all did a nice job and the area looks just like it did before the flooding. I would recommend this company for the quality of work and the people involved. All were great, from the office personnel, emergency cleanup crew, construction manager, to the subcontractors. Thank you!
