Unfortunately, we don't get to live here all year long, and live down state. We have a good friend who is in the plumbing, heating and air conditioning business here, who looked at the bids. He felt we were given very good prices.
With the bathroom smell issue, the plumber was unable to discover the source of the smell. For unknown reasons, the smell did go away while he was there, but he was unable to explain why. He did some preventative maintenance, but stated that if the smell came back, his next steps would involve cutting into the wall.
The reason why I gave them a and quot;Band quot; and not an and quot;Aand quot; is because I did not have a and quot;warm and fuzzyand quot; feeling that he would be able to resolve the issue if it came back. He pointed out many perceived and quot;problemsand quot; with my bathroom and poor workmanship from the builder; I don't need someone to tell me how crappy my house is, I need someone who is confident that they can fix the problem! We did not own this house when it was built, and it passed a home inspection; sitting there and listing all the shoddy parts that were used does not help me in any way. Had it been presented in a different way, such as and quot;I see a few correctable issues here, let me explain how I would fix them,and quot; I think I would have had a better feeling about it when he left.
The smell is now back, and I am going to try a different plumber this time.

Since we haven't been to your home in 3 years we are unsure of how we might rectify the situation, however, our service manager will be contacting you to discuss your concerns. We have highly trained NATE certified technicians who are extremely professional and well educated about the industry systems that they install and service. So this comes as a big surprise and is certainly something that we don't take lightly. Great job. I also put in central air.
Cliff, the service tech, was at my house within the hour. He checked out the furnace and closely examined the supposedly bad parts. He confirmed my suspicions -- no repairs were needed at all, everything was working perfectly.

"At Precision Plumbing and Heating we take great pride in making sure that our installations meet all manufacturer's specifications and code requirements. We also pride ourselves in standing behind the work that we do. In this case we strongly feel we followed the installation guidelines that were in place in 2007. Since the industry is always evolving we do pick up on recommendations that are later suggested by the manufacturer. With a regular maintenance schedule the unit would have been cleaned of the debris and the issue would’ve been solved years before it caused a problem. The one variable that has to be considered is the environment in which the system was installed. Every home has different levels of Insulation and infiltration of air that can have a negative impact on equipment. We greatly value our customers and strive to make sure everyone is 100% satisfied with our work. We are continuously educating our team in how we can improve our quality of installations and appreciate you bringing this to our attention. As you are aware of our previous no charge visits, we have proven how important it is for us to stand behind our installations and to show each customer how much we value their decision to choose Precision.
