Home Building
The carpenter gave us an estimate of putting in new windows, siding and building a deck. I requested a time frame/ contract to complete the job(s), which I never rec'd. Saturday morning he was at the site-we didn't have all the materials necessary to start the job-he kept himself busy, while waiting for the materials. After working on Saturday and Sunday on the project(the deck remains UNFINISHED/NO windows put in/NO siding done) he requested payment for eight hours work, which we paid. My husband then attempted to reach him several times throughout the week, without any response, until Friday nite when he said he'd be at the project at 8AM Saturday morning. At 7:30 Saturday morning, we rec'd a call that he had hurt his back on Friday and he wouldn't be able to work Saturday. We never heard from him again. PS We've "known" this person for over 7 years, although not on a professional level.
