Initially I was very pleased with his prompt attention and the fact that he began the project by always cleaning up after himself when he finished up for the day. But at the end of the project, I was quite dissatisfied, and I would not hire him again. He left a huge iron stain in the bottom of my brand new white tub, which I had never even stepped into yet. He did not get the stain out, and he did not offer to give me a price break after he marred the look of the new bathtub. He hung the shower bar far too low, allowing the curtain to drag on the floor, even though I had left specific written instructions not to do so. When I made him come back and fix it, he was slow to respond, and even then he only barely lifted the bar, so the curtain still just touches the floor. He bought supplies that I did not authorize with my credit card, for some unknown reason replacing my lovely curved curtain rod with a nasty spring loaded straight one. He bought several items that were never used, and then did not return them and get the credit back on my card. He bought more than 2 1/2 extra sheets of drywall....how could he not know how much drywall he would need? And then finally, I paid him handsomely to paint the entire bathroom. He did a very sloppy job, leaving paint parks where there ought not to be any, and a chewed up ceiling where he had removed trim roughly, leaving nasty damage in the ceiling. He did not offer to fix the damage. The entire project looks like a complete idiot did it, and I shudder to remember how much I shelled out for labor and for materials that are already permanently damaged. I definitely will not rehire him. And I could not recommend him to a friend.

He was wonderful about working with me on pricing. He was also really good about cleaning up after himeself and left the bathroom in a useable state when he left for the night on the first day. He also came back at no extra cost to make a minor adjustment for me.
