All Star Moving

To say this was a poor experience is a drastic understatement. One of the guys was 35 minutes late, then moved at the pace of a turtle and was folding moving blankets versus moving things. They both lied to their boss, one saying he unloaded "half the truck" while the other guy was late. He also, told his boss he was only 15 minutes late versus 35 and they are paid by the hour. We unloaded a 1/4 of the truck ourselves waiting for the 2nd guy to show up. We directed them on what to take where and were told we were "bitchy", angry and were chirping at them. They hit several walls, damaged quite a bit of furniture and all in all was awful moving things into the home. Moving into the storage unit should be simple but they made it difficult. They were going to stack extremely heavy boxes on top of fragile boxes, didn't organize anything so that more could fit in storage. It felt like this was their first time and when we directed them what to do they seemed put off. They also took a tote with wheels that was marked fragile and said "Oh look it has wheels" and ran it down the ramp to a loud bang at the bottom. When told that was marked Fragile they again seemed put off. They then called our stuff "Crap" when talking to the owner and lied again about how long it took. The last straw was the late guy then asked, "Do you have the cash?" The owner never communicated how payment was to be made, took sometimes a week to return a call or text and the communication was just not good All I can say positively is the owner is an extremely nice guy and when you talk to him he is very charming and funny. Also, they were cheap, but you get what you pay for. Steer clear, there are better options for sure!

The guys were great! The job was barely ready and they came in and helped to make the move go smoothly. The team was willing to do crazy things to make the move happen. I couldn't have done it without them. Two HUGE 26' trucks later and we were done. The owner even helped to line up the moving truck!

The owner/contact was somewhat difficult to communicate with. He did not return calls when he said he would, and it left me unsure of whether I would have the moving service or not. On the other hand, when I would call him, he promised that everything was all set...and in fact, it was. The actual movers did an excellent job, and were polite, helpful and professional.

Did not provide 3 men for the entire time as promised. There was a 4 hour period when there was only 2. This prolonged the move. One of the workers broke a custom made glass top for an octagon coffee table. He buried it in the snow and did not tell me that it was broken. Bill Shoemaker, owner of the company, replaced the top with a less expensive glass. The scratches and damage to the furniture was not repaired by a expert as was promised with the move agreement. Several months after my move, I discovered a decorative rail to a antique china cabinet in the garage that had broken off and the movers just put it in the garage cabinet. They did not acknowledge that it broke. I over paid Bill Shoemaker and it took 3 months, multiple phone calls, and empty promises before he returned the over payment. I could NEVER recommend this moving company, given These poor practices.

Bill and his helper worked efficiently and everything went very well. Nothing was damaged. It ended up costing more than I was quoted because it just took longer to load than anticipated. I can't fault them for that. They had plenty of moving pads and other equipment to handle the move.

From start to finish, they were very professional and did a great job! We had a storage bin completely full of heavy furniture and odds and ends. They moved everything into their truck and transported to another location up a full flight of stairs. They were careful with our items and nothing was damaged or broken. Very personable to work with and they were able to come on a short notice! Definitely will use them again.

Start to finish ... they were angels. If weren't for them I really don't know what we would have done! They were very flexible, very accommodating and very knowledgeable. And we were very thankful!

They did the "in-house-shuffle" first, getting the room ready for mom's furniture, then they moved mom. They were running late to look at the things mom wanted moved, but the called to let us know. They were on time for the move, they are pleasant to have around and were extremely careful with the furniture, walls, etc. They moved a piano for us about 7 years ago and were great then which is why we called them for this move.
