Agostinelli Builders

In April 2017 Agostinelli Builders began construction on our new house. This was to be our dream home, we planned and saved for years. Now our dream has become a nightmare. What should have been a time of celebration and joy became heart break and frustration. Over the course of time the builder showed himself to be dishonest and fraudulent. He used and subsequently damaged our new tractor, without our permission. He charged us for a port a john that was never placed on our property. Now we have to worry about our young children coming across human feces on our property. He refused to provide us keys or means of access to our home even after they were requested. He neglected to obtain a soil erosion permit; now we are dealing with significant erosion problems. The construction crews drove all over our property during time of heavy rain and mud leaving large areas needing repair and erosion control. The construction site was left in an unclean and unsafe condition, with construction debris littering the garage, basement, and property including sharp aluminum trimmings from gutters and siding. He did not provide us with subcontracts, bills or receipts during the course of construction, even upon request. He did not provide us credit for the many items we deleted from the construction. He damaged much of the house included the hardwood flooring, kitchen cabinets, and an irreplaceable antique sink that was to be installed, and denied all responsibility. Many of the finishes including the tile, molding, doors and drywall were improperly or inadequately installed. Some things were not completed AT ALL! Screens were not installed and almost none of the house was caulked. The builder insulted every product and finish we chose for the house. He frequently forgot conversations and instructions and denied responsibility. He did not fulfill the terms of his contract and document changes in writing on a "Change Order" form. He demanded full payment before the terms of the contract were fulfilled. He obtained a Certificate of Occupancy and did not inform us. Instead of communicating and attempting to resolve the problems, he filed a lien on our property and a lawsuit against us when we withheld final payment until the house was completed. I would never recommend Agostinelli Builders! They have brought unmeasurable stress and heart break to our family.
