Gardening for You
About us
I have been in business for over 11 years and before that worked at Toledo Botanical Garden. I have a vast knowledge of plants. Our company is VERY particular about how your garden looks. I have 5 knowledgeable people, who all have an excellent work ethic and enjoy what they do. "Gardening for You's" niche is garden maintenance for local homeowners. We weed, edge, mulch, plant, fertilize, and prune small tress and shrubs. We also offer "garden rehabilitation" - giving your yard new curb appeal by removal of overgrown plantings and new design - when we are not busy with maintenance. We have also installed numerous stone walkways. My company is a small one. I never want to be bigger. I've already found that bigger is not better when it comes to service. My business has spread "by word of mouth" and I have numerous references. We keep very busy from spring until late fall. I purchase plant, shrubs, mulch, stone and misc. supplies from local companies. I do not sub-contract any of our work. However, I do have suggestions for stump removal, irrigation and deck maintenance. We do not work in the winter. I'm often asked, "What do you do in the winter?" My reply, "Anything I want!" I am licensed in both Michigan and Ohio and I have appropriate workers compensation insurance. Thanks, Colleen McDonough, owner, Gardening for You
