We service most of Wayne and some of Oakland county. We offer fast same day service, with precise, quality workmanship at affordable and reasonable rates in comparison to our competitors. We do not charge by the hour, we charge by the job. After diagnosing the job issue, Affordable gives you a flat rate up front with no hidden charges. We do not hire subcontractors.

They did an excellent job replacing my sewer line. They were prompt, courteous and do great work. I would hire them again. I believe it was good value for the money and they stand behind their work and they were willing to come back and answer some questions. I know very few companies that operate this way.

After leaving a voicemail requesting availability for a furnace check-up/tune-up, my call was returned. The man asked if I needed certification by the city, to which I said I didn't. I have a home and just wanted to have the heater looked at, inspected, cleaned - like I do every year. The man proceeded to tell me that there is no such thing as a furnace tune-up or check-up; his exact words were "it's all a gimmick to get your money and get in the door to sell you other things." He then continued with the services they provided, but then mentioned, "Yeah, there's no such thing as a tune-up, I thought everybody knew that." (I've used several other companies in the for furnace inspection/check-up/tune-up and have never been unsold. They have usually provided feedback and let me know things to look out for/what to expect in the coming years with no pressure or follow-up sales gimmicks.) At that point, as he was about to continue, I thanked him, hung up my phone and blocked the number. I'm not an HVAC expert, so there's no need to be condescending.

"Condescending = not true. Said thanks and hung up = not true We are honest with our customers and simply tried to warn this man of tune up scams. Beware of companies that offer that. At the very least you pay a company $100 for a service call "tune-up" for absolutely nothing is indeed a "scam". As a licensed contractor, we were only giving honest advice. No such thing as a tune up for a furnace. And we got a "D" grade for that. Most of all customers appreciate our honesty. But I guess thanks... for proving us right and showing customers that we don't just want to take their money."

Excellent Service. Phone quote was priced and billed. All work was explained and the results are as expected and above satisfactory. He replaced a broken shower handle/seized cartridge. I was not here, but hubby was very happy with punctuality, service, responsiveness, quality of work, clean-up and price. This was a few months ago and shower is still working great.

"Hello [Member Name Removed]... checked our log, we were at your home for 1 hour and 20 minutes. The electronic brain board we installed cost $196.10. for the part and $103.90 for labor. Totals $300. Average cost with our competitors for the same part installed is $375- $450. (Also we unclogged your fan inducer motor port... which was plugged with rust and chimney debris. We also blew out the hose between the pressure switch and inducer motor... all for no additional cost to you)."

Well, our city cleared the work and Mike was more long-sufffering and showed more forbearance than he needed to because of bank problems. They cleaned up and were gracious in a very trying time for me. Mike and Co. are straight shooters as men and contractors. Anyone could do no better in a pinch than giving Mike a call. Just establish terms first and be generous because his honour and integrity is a dying breed in his industry. E.

I called today to inquire about getting an estimate to have my furnace and central air conditioning unit replaced. The man I spoke to gave me a rough estimate over the phone of $6000, which I appreciated. I then asked for next steps and he said that they would need to come out to measure and finalize the estimate, and that they would charge me for the estimate. This surprised me, as no other company has told me that they would charge me for an estimate. When I told him this he then told me he would waive the estimate. I found this very unprofessional and I politely told him that I did not need the estimate from his company.

"We never worked for this man. We explained to this man on the phone that there is a $29. service call to come out for measurements and to properly calculate the appropriate size of the furnace and ac system needed for the install. But we would waive the service call if hired... (which he fails to mention in his review). He began to get belligerent..... threatening that he would write a review about us charging a service call. He then started screaming and swearing in a very high pitched voice saying "I would never pay f****** anything." I immediately asked him to calm down. And in hopes to appease him..... I then told him we would completely waive the service call for measurements. He said "f*** no - it's too late now!" and hung up."

Made an excuse when he got here that he didn't work on mobile homes. All it was was a damper that was closed. I paid $60 to Affordable, for 10 minutes and no work. Actually the cist was $40 but I had to pay an extra $20 because it was a check.

"We do not advertise for mobile home repairs. They have different operating systems, parts, fittings, etc., unlike regular residential homes. When she called us... we explained the service call was $60. She never told us it was a mobile home. After arriving and seeing it was a mobile home, we explained that we do not service them. We drove 30 miles on a Saturday afternoon in a snow storm to repair her furnace. We charged her $60. for the service call. She admitted it was her own fault for not informing us it was a mobile home. Then she stated that a different company was out the day before she called us, and they would have to special order a part for her heater and she "had a big falling out with them... and don't even wanna talk about it". After reading her review about us, we refunded the $60. service call. Sadly she still has not revised or removed the review."
